All the most toxic players from the progression realms and retail are on SoD to smell their own farts and pretend they’re good.

Friends wanted to play and the runes reminded me of WOTLK… which for my money is still by far and away the best version and time inside WOW. I’m not against a GOOD leveling process, like in SWTOR… WOW has never done a good version of leveling, so I personally want it to be over as fast as possible. For me SoD is what I would want a classic server to be… I don’t wanna change the era servers, I just like non-true-era… era?
and that’s fair, enjoy that leveling process… but don’t get upset at others who found another way and are able to level quick because they want the end game.
Calling people toxic because they don’t like something about a game tells me a lot about someone’s lack of character.
Not liking the leveling process is perfectly normal, not liking something about a game… is normal.

The main problem is what Incursions did to the game. We lost highly populated, well-balanced, and well-maintained servers. The time invested in farming gold from previous phases was truly wasted time.
This version of the game shouldn’t be catered to the persona of anyone else but those who know and love classic and hold it close to their hearts.
I was under the impression I was buying a classic truck, turns out it’s a Hyundai Santa Cruz.

I’m referring to the SoD playerbase in general. It’s easier to raid heroic on retail than it is to get accepted into old raid content on SoD.
It’s crazy to think that the easiest version of the game has the sweatiest mindset of players.

It is an oddity though, I’ll never understand the sweaty mindset, started playing SoD with relaxing in mind… once my friends quit, I learned all about it lol.
If they added more experience to leveling quests, incursions might not be as much of a sinkhole where everyone lands. That’d still be speeding up the leveling process which is something I am totally for. It feels like fast classic era to me with wotlk abilities.
I don’t think SoD is just about being classic, I feel they wanted to bring all types of players in, which is always the goal, but not just classic mains, if it didn’t have accelerated leveling, I’d have probably burned out in P2 and quit then instead of P3.

These groups of players can never coexist. Ever. Their values are diametrically opposed. Keep modern in the modern client and keep it tf away from the Classic client.
They brought in a bunch of retailers and pushed out the Classic community, and where did that get them?

yeah but if they’d had a half a braincell in the dev office between them, incursions would have been a daily with a daily quest cap added, so as to push people to do them for the xp bump and then still actually use and play in the world, not just bot away inside incursions and abandon the rest of the world.
I have had ungoro to myself for farming leather for nearly 2 weeks now. Not really a complaint, but says a bit about what the spammable income machine has done.

They can’t coexist because people like yourself don’t want them to coexist, there is no middle ground for players like yourself with projects like SoD. No matter what, everything y’all push for is just era and anything that is remotely different is scoffed at… y’all will never be happy, you could be given the perfect game and you’d find something to complain about.
My experience with SoD, is it’s a good mix of all versions of classic and a sprinkling of retail.

Go back and play on the classic vanilla servers then. Adults have a life. They have to go to work, have wifes/gfs/husband/boyfriends, and kids. Classic andy people like you have no life. That’s why classic vanilla is as dead as a classic andy sex life is.
Not being a classic andy and enjoying SoD and not having to do the same quests for the 4,000 time… I have a gf
Haha how good is it having the entre world to yourself? It’s empty, it’s amazingly good for farming and finishing off the odd quest

I have a level 50 of every class.
It’s just so stupid. I was able to level every class quite casually to 50 without any issue at all.
I went back to Era. Deviate Delight is trying some fresh thing that will almost certainly die but even playing by yourself on a dead server is more Classic than SOD.

They want other people to be forced to play with them. Nobody likes playing Era hence Era is dead. They want other players to be tricked into playing with them because their game doesn’t work if it doesn’t have people playing it.
Slowly chipping away at it myself, up to 5 50s with a 6th on the way. One of my goals with SoD is to eventually have all runes on all classes - this is on top of just enjoying the core gameplay and consuming content like the exalted rep grinds, getting the raptor, PvP, raiding on multiple characters.
I don’t think it’s that unrealistic to want to do. There’s unique class specific content in SoD for every class that I want to be able to experience before its gone. I’d be fine with a slower pace if Blizzard could promise us that SoD isn’t going anywhere but they haven’t.
When I think about Legion, I am something of a creature of regret for not being able to have done all of the Legion content when it was current for each of the classes. Definitely don’t want to make that mistake again with SoD.

Class halls in legion were pretty cool, it’s unfortunate blizzard didn’t continue that concept.

Nonsense. I’ve said repeatedly that phase 1 was a great representation of changes to Vanilla that preserve the integrity and design values of Vanilla.

Why would anyone play classic if they hated the journey? That’s what classic is.
There are so many different versions of this game.
Do you know what’s crazy to me? Classic vanilla has always been one of the top, if not the most populated version for private servers. Even to this day.
