The day Classic + turned into retail -

It will never not be super bizarre how classic cultists freak out about faster leveling speed or travel time etc. They are beyond obsessed with how other people play the game and lose their minds if anyone enjoys it differently than they do.

It has no impact on you at all if people level faster. Level slower and join some cultist guild of people who refuse to level faster if it means that much to you.

Coming over to the Classic client to play, refusing to understand why Classic design philosophy matters, demanding it be changed, then mocking the core Classic playerbase will never not be super bizarre.

There were 20k era players and hundreds of thousands of WotLKC and retail players.

SoD intentionally attracted more than era players because it is not worth Blizzards time to develop new content for 20k people.

SoD was never meant to be an era exclusive thing.

Further, they have the data. They see that vanilla philosophies were tremendously unpopular and they were hemorrhaging players in phase 2. I knew this for awhile and said it in multiple threads. It was obvious they were going to have to start making bigger changes to try to save the mode.

It would not be worth development time to make this mode for classic cultists exclusively.

There were 10k players on Grobbulus alone, and it was one of the medium sized servers. Where the hell are you getting your data?

There were only 20k people still playing era before SoD came out. There were hundreds of thousands of WotLKC players and retail players each before SoD came out.

Phase 1 SoD had 300k+. They were not coming from era.

cool who cares. sod is dying like a mf

retail noob coping as usual

That’s an inappropriate metric to use for gauging the Classic community’s interest in a new progressive Vanilla server, let alone something akin to Classic+.

You know that though.

Go then, there are other Worlds of Warcraft than these.

They tried very hard to cater to vanilla classic philosophies in SoD. It failed. Everyone hated it going into phase 2. They have the data. They tried it your way and it didn’t work. People don’t like having their time wasted with excessively slow content in a temporary seasonal mode.

where?

Proof pelase, no anecdotal evidence

P1 was a massive success, what the hell are you talking about?!

P2, which espouses retail design far more than P1, is actually failing.

The lack of QoL features in SoD proves what I said to be true.

They literally added more QoL features to Season of Mastery than Season of Discovery. They clearly were trying to push a more vanillaish world onto people and people did not like it. Now they’re scrambling to try to get people back.

“I’m unhappy. Must convince everyone game is dying.”

Weird but ok.

Your head is in the sand. People were leaving phase 2 because of how vanilla it was. The recent changes are a desperate attempt to get people to stop leaving or come back.

what lack of qol? You can claim that and provide zero evidence and it would work.

Because sod sucks. retail players will not continue for long no matter what they do. your demands are too high for a temporary realm

You’re attributing the decay to whatever suits your narrative. I guess I’ll do the same and say SoD is hemorrhaging players because of the recent announcements, heirlooms, one shot pvp, and the like.

Nobody is leaving because of a lack of QoL. Everyone is well aware of what they’re signed up for when they launch the Vanilla client…

Remove SoD from the Classic client and there aren’t any issues. The game straight up isn’t Classic.

yup you have no standing argument

You are making up stories. another random solo q random no friends retail noob touring sod to leave in 3 months

wut? That can’t be directed at me lmao

They’re the wow right-wing man. They want to police how other people live their lives (play the game) even if it doesn’t affect them. They will even lie and make up reasons on how it does or could affect them in their wild slippery slope scenarios. Its so wild.
