The day Classic + turned into retail -

Totally agree. There are far less hamfisted ways to make leveling faster while maintaining Classic values.

Devs are getting a free pass to make lazy changes so long as they make things faster, easier, and more convenient.

If half of your guild isn’t max level halfway through the phase, sounds like it’s a good thing that more of them will level up quicker.

Why is it a good thing to boost them through leveling?

Some people like the leveling part more than the raid logging part. You have a retail mindset. The game should not be designed to push people to max to raid log asap.

Lazy XP buffs is a bad idea, add more quests if the issue is people are taking too long to level up.

I think you’re attributing value to leveling faster out of habit. Max level isn’t objective good.

Because it is a seasonal server. It’s temporary.

Well, okay. It’s not, and it certainly wasn’t in Vanilla. But this isn’t Vanilla and the Classic team wants players experiencing this ‘new content’ they’ve made.

Classic Era still exists for the journey.

Oh well, just like retail the people will ruin classic plus. Glad you are all excepting of lazy 100% xp buffs rather than new interesting quests. Hey lets hope they put a shop in too so i can buy wow tokens /s.

You can turn the exp buff off at an innkeeper if that’s what you prefer

Absolutely a failure on the dev’s part here, IMO. There’s soooo much design space to work with in the leveling process. They could have added tons to discover that would brush up the leveling experience, beyond runes that people wait to get until max.

I dig it brother :expressionless:

Yea and you dont have to use transmog and raid finder in Retail so it wont ruin the social aspect of the game nor do you have to use the shop.

Good, you’re figuring it out then

SoD was never “classic+”, anyone believing it was, is just huffing copium because they were all hyping themselves up before blizzcon and then didn’t get exactly what they wanted.

You know your argument sucks when all you’ve got to fall back on is “don’t like it don’t use it”

It has far reaching negative impacts on the game for anyone who chooses to opt out. It isn’t a choice.

If they added some tradeoff to taking the XP, then it would be a choice, but it’s a straight objective buff to your XP, gold, profession coverage, etc.

Classic+?

I think the problem is your expectations. I came into SoD with absolutely none.

Yes because it didnt fundamentally change retail at all and have huge side effects. Nice argument though, happy classic plus is more retail for all the retail players.

its good to know that classic players on these forums are pro LFR and wow token, rushing to max with XP and in game shops in the classic forum community though

well if SoD was always retail, it should have just used the retail client and left classic alone… :expressionless:

Yea, i know, its obvious you came into SOD with no expectations as you are likely a retail player. its obvious if you are promoting rushing to end game in classic.

Duskhaven looks to be a Vanilla+ server that is in beta.

They should remove SoD from Classic then, and stop making anti-Classic experiences to the Classic client.
