The Dawnbreaker

I love most of what I’ve seen in TWW but The Dawnbreaker has to be one of the worst designed dungeons of all times.

There is no indicator that mobs will just respawn and can’t be killed, or the fact that other mobs can’t be skipped, there is no indicator on how to get on the boat and than no indicator on how to start the boat. Than it tell you to mount and doesn’t mark anything at all on the map or tell you were to go and instead kills you. I didn’t get past this point because I simply don’t know what to do.

I shouldn’t need to look up a guide on how to do a normal dungeon. This really needs to be looked at.

Flight form literally doesn’t work in this map. Id jump of the ship and just transform into a cheetah and fall to my death.

This dungeon is atrocious.

I did that dungeon as a follower dungeon and I do not regret that at all. Think I died 3 times figuring out what was going on. Ran it a second time and it went flawless. It’s a weird design to be so mechanic heavy, probably one of the worst designed dungeons I’ve seen in a mmo. However once you understand what to do it’s super easy.

I also ran it on a druid so yeah, it has some weird interactions with your travel form in there. Probably a bug.

same here, some parts flight form worked, and others, where you have to avoid the void on the airship i had to use regular mount.

What improvements would you guys like to see that would substantially improve this dungeon?

Clear direction on where to go would help. Which mobs are pointless, endless respawners, and which will be needed for M+. Flight form working.

I fought Rasha’nan phase 1 and he flew off. I tried to chase him but couldnt turn into flight form, and fell to my death. Spawned back on the ship and his icon was in the middle of the city, so thought i had to clear that first to continue fighting him. Cleared the other bosses and tons of pointless mobs, he never spawned, despite his icon still being IN the city. Finally i flew back to the ship and there he was in phase 1 again. It was a ridiculously frustrating experience.

One of its kind - when i first did the dungeon and went on my mount. It was so fluid, i was shocked like WOW, this is next level gaming.

Watch a guide next time. That is what i did and now i farm this dungeon.

No. Normal level dungeons are the intro. You shouldnt HAVE to watch a guide to know what the hell to do. Even the dungeon journal doesnt help.

On top of that, a guide doesnt help the fact that flight form is literally broken in the dungeon, and will result in every druid dying trying to figure out what the hell they are suppose to do.

YOu will do really good in exactly 3 days.

Good luck with that attitude.

Agreed. The dungeon is horribly designed and the number of bugs is completely insane. I love how many months of beta posts you can find with people describing all of the bugs that they let go live. It’s going to be a complete disaster if you are a person who sometimes pugs M+

This is just a dumpster fire. The whole run is just miserable and convoluted. The companion AI is just insanely idiotic. Most miserable garbage experience I’ve ever had in this game. Just absolute garbage.

It’s complete removal would be a good start.

I would like the light balls to be a little bigger to grab while flying

most of these dungeons sound like a recipe for disaster for mythic+ but then again mythic+ is a terrible system. so Ill sit back with some popcorn and watch the fireworks.

I only did it once and I was deep in a Peacebloom haze but this instance was a convoluted mess. Very little interest in going back.

ANYONE know WHERE the CHALLENGER cache IS in HERE!? Please? THANK YOU!

I think it’s really interesting as a standalone experience.

But the place being full of hostile mobs that are just background decoration makes the entire thing a giant mess of nameplates flooding the screen, and that makes it hard to know what’s going on and what to target at a glance.

If they want the background fighting, make them untargetable so it doesn’t flood the screen in that way. Literally the entire place has this problem.

That aside, I think it’ll be a little chaotic as people figure out routes for M+, but otherwise it should be fine. I generally just don’t like “flying” dungeons because trying to fight the viewport and UI to figure out where the tank is landing is a massive pain in the rear, but it’s still a neat experience and feels more dynamic than a bunch of hallways.

As for the whole flying during the boss thing? Seems Druids are having issues with flight form. Blizz should fix that. Otherwise, it’s fine. They were very generous with Vigor Orbs so you don’t have to properly manage it at all.
