Then you don’t do mythic progression raiding… Where that 1% is actually the difference between a wipe and a kill. When you wipe over 500 times to a boss… that 1% starts to really matter.
Agreed… Put them on the raid drops and make them only work in the raid. That way raid gear still provides raid progression. Instead of WQ gear invalidates raid gear progression (for those slots).
You gave us a system where we could nab our BiS… literally before the raid even dropped. Now we have zero upgrades from those slots.

That’s what Benthic is? They gave us multiple pieces that are literally BiS (ilvl means nothing… how strong a piece is all that matters…)
Could be done also by removing the affix from working in the raid. You’d in fact have world quest players using gear that’s stronger than Mythic raiders out in the world.
I’ve been a strong proponent of this since forever. What I don’t want is world progression, dungeon progression, or raid progression literally invalidating the other paths of progression. Hence why i think things like tier sets and dungeon sets should make a return to provide further character progression in their respective contents.

I have no issue with world content players having strong gear. I have a problem with world content players progression path… invalidating gear progression in the content I enjoy. I don’t enjoy wiping 100+ times to a boss to have a piece drop that’s a downgrade when compared to the piece I got from killing 10 boars.

Yeah I can see that as being rather disenchanting.
Honestly benthic gear should reach the equivalent to mythic raid tier gear. Not go over it. Otherwise it undermines the hard work of others.
