The Crafting Cartel is back and I hope they get banned for good

  1. Your assuming blizzard actually wants to ban bots
  2. What Squelch system? People are still reporting the same people in trade chat and nothing happens to them.
  3. I had friends that appealed twice for a false flagging and wasn’t lifted.
  4. And you said check to make sure they were not using Discord.

They do. In waves. We just had one. lol

Multiple reports in chat can squelch someone, which is a temporary chat silence. The GMs then review it to decide if the squelch is turned into a ban or if the squelch is lifted.

Then it wasn’t false. Appeals are absolutely reviewed and there are absolutely cases of the sanctions being lifted.

Which in no way means Blizzard has any jurisdiction. Did you even read the OP?

I’m waiting for the, “That’s just for PR to make themselves look good, they don’t actually do anything” reply. LOL

By who real people? It’s all done by computers now. They probably have it hooked to chatGPT AI to review sanctions now.

You really have no idea what you’re talking about. All appeals and bans are done by people. Template responses are NOT AI.

You aren’t even worth a conversation with this nonsense.

I’m not sure why anyone is surprised. Cornering the market through scams and coercion’s been the name of the game since the AH became a pathway to infinite money.

This is why player-run economies are a bad idea in massively multiplayer games and they only show a semblance of working when those involved can lose literally everything through player-on-player action (EVE Online).

They need to go back to the old crafting system till the new one works out its kinks. Its BS how its set up now so that to make a profit all you can do is just sell your mats in order to pay for the rest of the mats to skill up and everything you make isnt worth the trouble.

Well that’s the illusion perpetrated throughout the community. That gear “matters”. Not only does it “matter”, it’s “decisive”. Get This Piece or Fail.

And, it doesn’t matter. It has impact, to be sure. Better gear is better. But for the vast, vast, vast majority of the content, it does not matter. The team matters. This is why the World First crowd get World First. They build and drive a very good team. The World First folks demonstrate that “imperfect gear” can be successful.

Mind, there’s nothing wrong with striving for good gear, for good numbers, etc. Just know that it’s not the singular driver toward success over content.

And that’s the other thing. Blizzard only cares about folks beating bosses. That raids defeat content. “Why don’t they balance X and Y!?” Because the bosses are falling. Even bosses with bottom tier classes are falling. And that’s all the matters. So, as long as teams are being successful, there’s less need for “balance” in PvE.

“Warlocks are doing 10,000 DPS but Druids are doing 12,000 DPS! It’s unfair!” But the boss only requires 9000 DPS, so…not really a problem, is it?

Enjoy your gears!

When infinite is not enough. People will always want more it all about greed and the “me” mentality. It what is killing WoW.

Doesn’t really mean much if you can go in game and find tons of bots at max level and hand-played gold farmers consistently though. I can go into Zaralek Caverns even with warmode on and find tons of off-server double-up people farming mining/ore and sometimes an entire bot farm.

WoW gold is worth real money.

$20 dollars per 300-400K+ Gold. That how much a wow token is for. So are these crafters in this so called crafting cartel going to charge 20-40 dollars for a piece of crafting gear?

Why not just replace Gold with real life currency? Why even bother with game money.

Is this what WoW is heading too?

They never asked my permission.

I’ve been crafting Lariats for free since season 1 and I’m still kicking it.

Yeah this is completely made up. Some streamer probably made it up for clickbait/views and then everyone else starts parroting it even though it never happened.

Good decision. I don’t even have enough tinfoil for that conversation. (Out of likes btw. :dracthyr_cry_animated:)

I’m not, people who farm gold like this are in the same vein as people who farm mogs or mounts, they spend all their game time maximising their time to do what it is they want, which includes coercion to other players in mass numbers.

i mean this isnt ENTIRELY out of the realm of possibility just probably not in the numbers the op claims.
