The costs to respec azerite traits are ridiculous

You haven’t made a compelling argument. People suggested a solution to your problem and all you ever replied with was “i dun wanna ”. Your idea of a lower gold cap is straight up never happening. That was established months ago.

And you havent made a good argument as to why its a bad thing, thus is the reason why im saying that the other alternatives do not benifet the player base.

Because no sane person should feel the need to respect fourteen times in one day. There is absolutely no reason for this. And as it’s been mentioned, they don’t want people OCDing over it like that.

It’s a bit crazy for anyone to respect that much. Two or three times for a raid or to test something? Sure, okay. But fourteen?

People are meant to get more gear, not sit at a reforger all day.

To cap it means people will just obsess even more.

So let them obsess over it? Why does it matter to you?

More options is better.

I don’t NEED to because this issue affects such a small percentage of players it doesn’t matter. This issue has been adressed in Q&As and they have said multiple times that the system is ONLY in place if you made an oopsie or if your main tank leaves and you have to suddenly fill in. It doesnt matter what YOU think the system is for.

It matters to Blizz. You’re not playing the content by constantly changing traits. Go play the game and get more gear. There is zero reason to reforge that much and Blizz doesn’t want you doing it. Period. End of story.

Well im making my point, like it or not. Youve made an argument, ive made mine, i am not satisfied with yours.

Well stay unsatisfied. I have more people that matter on my side. Have fun going bankrupt. No issue to me.

If you could respec as much as you want you could progress through the content to get higher level gear rather than doing the same ones to get the same ilvl peice. Not that hard to see.

respecing azerite traits doesnt take forever, its literally only a second.

I mean clearly you are “respeccing as much as you want” and not pushing very far into higher content. I am not seeing a correlation here.

Yeah, because the cost is ludicrous. Why shouldn’t someone mess around with every spec in a day if they really want to? That’s nine swaps by itself, and twelve if you’re a druid.

Then maybe they shouldn’t have made the most unnecessarily complex and sim-heavy loot system in the entire game’s history.

I think the system is ok aside from doubling in cost everytime. Should be just in 5g increments.

As for Bliz GM’s resetting the costs for players, that shouldnt have happened at all.

Slow day at work. Dont have much else better to do besides watch people talk in circles tbh.

Good job I guess?

I think both of you need to get a room.

Uh… no. LOL

Those five traits aren’t changing your ilevel or capability.

Repspeccing isn’t something that suddenly makes you better or changes how much DPS you do by leaps and bounds to put you into Mythic raiding.

Try a trait. Don’t like it? Swap back. That has zero to do with your progression into higher content.

And get yourself a forum vacation for spamming. :woman_facepalming:

Azerite gear does make an impact whether you like it or not, it affects dps and how well someone heals or tanks. You are misinformed.

If youre doing content in order to get the same ilvl gear, then yes it does slow down progession to actually increasing your current item lvl.

There is no good reason why there shouldn’t be a gold cap for respecs, please post one if there is.

And thank you  , I might need that after seeing some of the posts on here.

I think I have better understand as to why the game is in the state it is currently in.

I just wish they were spec specific you know? Wanna play healer for a while? Switch spec and BAM healer azerite traits selected.

“no lifing” ? What’s that?

As for time, that’s easy for someone to say when they have everything already. Again, if it was as you say it is, the game would not have lost so many subs and Blizzard would not be scrambling to try and get the customers back. In fact, Blizzard has admitted they screwed it up. They lack the fortitude though to do the hard work and ditch the pillar system they set in place which has been a major player in the cause of BFA being the most disliked Xpac in the games history.

Oh, yes, you are so right, the game is doing so well. Look at the profit hand over fist Blizzard is making. Bahahahah, what a joke. Its stock has only lost about 45% of its value since October and 36% since Blizz Con, but hey you must be right about how great this all has worked out so far. The game couldn’t be doing better and they must be on the right track.

Wrong, in a nut shell, people are tired of their time being wasted and sucked just to keep people paying. The gearing progression is one of the worst offenders of that system. If it was doing so well Blizzard wouldn’t have a huge revamp coming to the HoA and Azerite gear in 8.2 and they would’t have made the AP changes in 8.1. Most people I think are going to stay unsubbed till 9.0. I have been gone since Nov I only came back recently due to hoping ilvl is high enough now to farm some of the old Mythic raids for Xmog. The Azerite system was haphazard at best then, and only slightly better now. It has been 3/4 of a year so far and the system is still unappealing to the masses. These changes in 8.2 will not bring the masses back. It will probably only stem the sub loss at best.

But hey, I’m glad you are finding the current system fun. Enjoy it while you can, because if Blizzard is smart it will be gone in 9.0.

Blizzard not doing well does not exactly correlate to it being entirely WoW at fault.

HotS is a straight up dead game. It is practically iceboxed.

Diablo has not gotten a new IP in years with the next entry being very poorly well received.

Starcraft has gotten no new IP in years and the pro scene is “meh” at best.

Overwatch is holding on by a thread and will probably not last 2 more years.

WoW is where Blizzard is STILL making most of their money. If Blizzard thought the game was on life support they would have hired NO new developers and would have left it with just a skeleton crew.
