The costs to respec azerite traits are ridiculous

Do you really believe thst these cost are not an issue? I really think there shoukd atleast be a cap.

The whole system just makes people have less motivation to change roles

There is a cap. Its the gold cap.

There IS a cap. 9,999,999 gold. You can’t pay more than that.

That’s very generous of blizzard

I know right?

Blizzard is very generous. They just keep throwing loot at me to the point I rarely if ever have to swap traits on gear. Wonderful devs.

It’s certainly not as big of a deal now as opposed to when Azerite was new, but you will never be able to give me a good reason for making a single gear respec cost more than 10k.

It is unacceptable, and we should recognize that.

It’s poor form to laugh at your own jokes.

I am actually suprised that people do not think there should be a “lower” cap.

Why are you against something that will be benficial to you and the player base?

Don’t guilds have Banks for this reason?

Because I am personally fond of natural selection and watching people like you shoot yourselves in the foot and completely ignore any sort of suggestions because you think shooting yourself in the foot is the only answer.

Yes, I don’t think the costs are an issue. Use your old azerite gear as you upgrade for off specs. This is entirely a ‘you’ problem. Again, you keep ignoring that the entire point of the costs is to prevent people from doing exactly what you’re trying to do. It’s working as intended. It’s an annoyance at best. I’ve had the costs get up to 8k at which point I stopped respec’ing, but that was a point where we had a tank dealing with some health issues and I was filling in for raids and M+ in a role I don’t usually do. Once it got there I stopped paying for it and just defaulted to my lower ilvl azerite when I needed to role swap. The world didn’t end.

I didn’t make a joke, you demonstrated that you’re ignorant about what objective/subjective means. That was the joke.

Oh man, I’m so mad they removed my ability to pay more than 5k to swap specs, that was such a great feature to be able to spend a miil on respecs.

What?

I wouldnt use that analogy. This isnt shooting yourself in the foot. Its blizz shotting you in the foot for wanting to meet the demand of roles and doing multiple activities in a day.

Nah its shooting yourself in the foot. You are the one refusing to go with the better alternative.

Because its symptomatic of the greater problem in wow. Blizzard keeps developing around the dumbest common denominator and while it may seem to benefit everyone at first, it eventually has terrible side effects.

Also this WOULDN’T be beneficial to me because i’m not dumb enough to constantly respec, and if this WERE to be changed that might become a common expectation, to absolutely min max for every affix, dungeon, or raid boss. The downtime and upkeep costs, (because you KNOW it won’t be free) will add up to a giant pain in the butt.

There is an option 3, the WoD system which by leaps and bounds was the best system there was for re-spec. Gear that changed based on your spec, and the ability to change talents at any time. The heavy hand of Blizzard always taking away and forcing players into their narrow view of fun is a very large portion of why BFA has failed.

They are seriously sounding like management instead of gamers. In fact, that is exactly what they have become. They are no longer gamers, they are company management focused on driving profit instead of gamers designing a game they want to play.

And I can understand their behavior from a management stand point, but they need to stop calling themselves gamers. It’s obvious to the masses gaming is no longer their passion, and trying to maintain unsustainable profit is.

I understand that some people don’t LIKE how it works and you’re entitled to your opinions and leaving feedback on that is fine so long as you’re constructive, but y’all really need to stop trying to brute force it into working how you think it should in the meantime. It’s intended to fix mistakes, make adjustments after balance changes, or potentially reassign that piece of gear to another spec long-term. It’s not designed as a regular talent swap and you know that. My costs have never gone over 20g and I regularly play both Enhancement and Resto for my raid.

And if I want to suggest a different alternative, I am allowed to do so

Days or a week to get a few new pieces of gear?! Oh, the horror! :scream:

This system is infinitely better than Legion’s. Blizz wants you to continue to work for gear. This isn’t talents. This is gear.

You are ignoring any and all suggestions because you are so hellbent on thinking yours is the ONLY possible way the game should be played. The fact that other players are able to switch specs at all without forking up gold makes your position incredibly weak.
