The chorelist nature of the anniversary event is deeply unsatisfying

Its quite bogus.

You were expecting a different shaped hamster wheel that the one we run in every expansion?

Chore list is two words, not one

It takes like 3 hours and you have all week.

Most of the TWW sources are also things you’re already doing unless you never touch delves or rep.

Telling us to do ALL our chores, then come back next week and do them all again before we get our allowance is still a bad look.

Chores? If playing the game is a chore you may want to quit.

Both are valid depending on whose english you’re using. You might be using a version of the Queen’s English, please update your lexicon to the King’s English.

It turns out the gated chorefest is only for ~3 weeks. Then when you’ve hit 100 bronze (and probably gotten more gametime/renewed your sub) you unlock ungated bronze supposedly from a number of activities including timewalking dungeons.

As it turns out, there’s a popular addon for keeping track of what to do in an expansion called Chore Tracker

Standing around listening to stories or watching people show off their mounts in “events” without real winners or prizes for the sole purpose of filling a bar to turn in a weekly quest to get a tiny drip-feed of tokens is a chore and not fun or rewarding content.

Not liking lazy timegated content and calling it “chores” doesn’t mean I dislike the game as a whole.

Then don’t?

IIRC one round of the Gatecrashers WBs + one timewalking dungeon fills the bar. There’s two weeklies crossed off. Doing the 5x timewalking absolutely without question fills the bar, do that on alts who aren’t 80 yet.

Those chores are just the game. It’s what you’re subbed for. The only thing I find unsatisfying is that Cho only has three stories to tell. That’s very underwhelming considering he was a headliner.

I just wish there was a daily source of tokens. Doesn’t even need to be a lot, maybe a daily that gives 2 or 3 tokens, but it would at least make you feel like you are progressing. Tying them all to weeklies isn’t satisfying to me.

Then don’t do them. Literally that shrimple. I don’t like BGs so I don’t touch them. You don’t like doing the mount game, don’t do it.

Literally what happened to the world where games are about prizes and not about fun?

Have you considered Dungeons, Raids, or PvP? All those can fill the bar, which you ‘need’ to do once a week.

I didn’t realize that doing Timewalking would fill the bar, plus my wife and I were puttering around and seeing the sights in Tanaris at the time, so that’s how I ended up filling the bar. It was tedious and took forever.

Timewalking can be hit or miss for me, but at least it’s an option for next week.

The more I watch this debacle unfold, the strangeness of the WoW community is becoming more apparent.

There’s a strong sect of players on the forums which seem to have the stance which can be summarized as “Shut up and eat your damn food!” … while completely ignoring the fact said food is a pile of coprolite.

It’s almost as if they LIKE eating the coprolite.

There is a quest to “have fun” which is about the least fun thing I could think up. On the plus side I guess they’ve been hiring more veterans to help implement the mandatory fun.

People will complain about ANYTHING… this is quite frankly one of the easiest ways to farm a full complete very sick class specific mog set… no rng involved yes it’s definitely a bit tedious but it’s something to do & the rewards are at least worth it.
