ok well I guess you were being sarcastic about all loving retail. Anyhow my main point is changes can be a good thing. There are some examples of games that were improved by changes. For example, many fans consider the remake of the game “Ocarina of Time” on the 3DS a much better version than the original. Aiming with the smooth motion controls improves gameplay. They even updated the graphics. The Nintendo 64 was not as easy to aim weapons at in that game.
Edit: They even made gameplay easier by making faries more potent. It allowed the player to PLAY instead of get a gameover as much.
u are such a carebear! back in the day we calld People like u sheeps, then People started to call People like u carebears, then it changed to crybabys and now we call u retailers!
u make me sick!
/spit
they made it easier so ur little brains are capeable of playing a game for children…
People like u are a shame for the so calld gamer community!
The remake is thought of by fans as being superior. It’s a perfect analogy of what Blizzard can do with classic WoW. But instead they released the same game. No changes. Same old grind fest and yawn fest. Play it before going to bed and sleep like a baby game
…ehh, aside from only asking for a barbershop (i still don’t understand how that’s one of the controversial features of retail.), i guess anything i want can be somewhat solved by an addon and a quick google search, i guess that’s a moot point. I do enjoy both and i allow anybody to play it if they want cause i don’t want to exclude people and want as many people playing Classic and Retail…
'Cept for MTX, i recommend you don’t buy into that crap.
blizzard already said they give a crap about people like u in classic!
blizzard did learn from their mistakes,. i mean listeing to People like you did cost em over 10million players!
edit:
im back ingame, in 2 hours we gonna have a server event!
have fun playin bfa aka forum lol
btw Maybe u should ask if Blizzard could make the Forum easier for u? i mean we dont wanna hurt ur braincells^^
Not everyone demanded classic with no changes so obviously you will have people with various opinions. Personally I would love to see a few minor WOL improvements. Drop rates on collection quests, shared mob tagging (at least on quest named), speedier mail delivery, and more mailboxes are a handful that come to mind. I don’t feel like things like that would take away from the game.
Also wouldn’t care if they considered adding duel spec, mounts at lower levels, and maybe LFD at a later date say several months to a year from a now to the game. I know those might be some controversial ideas to some but I feel I am not the only one who would enjoy it. Its allready coming back to me how painful it can be to put a group together. Always looking for a tank and by the time you get a tank somebody has to leave and then when one person leaves another follows and then your tank leaves and your group falls apart. Duel Spec would also help with the tank and healer population.
I’m sorry all the improvements you’d like to see, I hate. So what now? The game I used to love is long gone but thankfully the devs have promised a FAITHFUL RECREATION of it in Classic.
If they had announced a remastered version of it, and included your so called ‘improvements’, I would probably not play it.
I did a scientific experiment and came up with a complex mathematical formula that proves giving paladins crusader strike is the one change that caused the butterfly effect that ruined WoW. As long as we don’t do that we can make some changes and stave off armageddon.
I already played WoW during Vanilla up to BFA and don’t want to deal with the grind again
I just want all of the original Vanilla Content with the Gameplay from BFA so I can easily get all of the items that aren’t available anymore in BFA like Medivh’s staff
I mean there’s nuance to it. A lot of really hate retail because it’s not really a MMO anymore. I agree that retail has too many handouts, but that doesn’t mean that there cant be new or changed content that follows the spirit of classic gameplay.
An extreme example might be something like a hypothetical quest for paladins to get Crusader Strike at 60. You have to get a BoP drop in Strat Live to start the quest. The book sends you to Light’s Hope to get the next part. In order to get the spell, you have to collect various items from level 60 elite mobs in Plaguelands, and kill 200 undead in the Plaguelands and Plaguelands dungeons. You would literally need to go on a crusade to get Crusader Strike. After you’re done cleansing the undead, you must pray at Light’s Hope and by praying, you get the spell.
Not saying that I even want Crusader Strike in the game, but there are ways to implement changes or new content that follows the rules of Classic gameplay. Retail was ruined because players were given more more more without needing to work for it. As long as the content has a sufficient time commitment and difficulty to finish, I don’t see additional content as a negative at all.
Changes=/=retail Retail died of a death of a thousand cuts. Nobody wants free epics or spells out of changes. Most of the changes crowd wants more classic content because we want to continue to play THIS game more. We want to play Classic past the capacity of the game currently, and not all of us think that TBC was purely the right direction for the game.
We want changes because we see how the Classic endgame goes and we want more of it. We don’t want to rip the Classic experience apart, we’re fans that want more of what classic is.
That’s the thing, I don’t want to experience the 1-60 journey a second time
I just want to get to 60 as quickly as possible and do the content that isn’t available in retail anymore like Lv60 Kazzak, the four Nightmare Dragons, Lv60 Naxx, Azuregos, the AQ questline and so on
