there wasnt a large amount of people skipping normal in Mop jumping straight into heroic?
Please read what I am writing if you want to engage, I am hardly putting forward high concepts here. The trend started in MoP, continued forward. Point being adding more to the higher end, hurt the lower end.
4/10 troll
but it didnt start in MoP? they didnt add more higher end? they added flex raiding which was the middle ground between LFR and Normal then in the WoD prepatch they decided to rename the difficulties Flex = Normal, Normal = Heroic and Heroic was now Mythic. they just kept adding modes for the lower end
It drops teir and trinkets which will be a bis choice for the first few weeks due to how wtrong some of those teir bonuses and trinkets are, even at a lower ilvl.
And it can drop the currency for epic gems unless they make changes. which essentially forces even heroic guilds to farm it for epic gems to avoid the astronomical price those gems will have on the AH for the first few weeks.
What is the highest raid difficulty in MoP? SoO added mythic raiding and made the situation grow.
It never was that. It’s flex ability was entirely based on hard caps of players in the raid. It did not accurately scale as flex did in later expansions. It was base difficulty normal raid unless you went over a specific TN. Flex raiding was also added in the SoO patch so at the end of the expansion. Which also added Mythic raiding.
I REALLY was hyped for flex raiding when I came out but it did not live up. I have never wanted something more in this game than flex raiding.
Nobody to my memory pugged flex or normal in the same level as heroic difficulty. I understand its an anecdote but that’s what we both have here in any case.
I usually was the only normal pug (wanted the colors of the normal raid paladin set) in LFG consistently.
Assuming LFR and norm/hero do not share a lock out, this farming does not have to entail the entire guild but just those with JC. Sending people out to complete tasks like that isn’t out of the realm of reality and saves the guild time for real progression.
Those same guilds would also likely funnel whatever made sense to those who would use it. This is more of an in general statement but yeah.
No one is forced to do it.
And nothing is more selfish than saying, “I don’t wanna have the option to do LFR and regular raiding, so no one should have the option!!”
Learn some self control and stop trying to dictate how others play the game.
The PTR is now open for testing.
How will LFR work for Oceanic servers? Alliance can barely get RDF to pop as it is.
Lol the people that don’t want shared lockout with LFR will be back here complaining when all the guilds/friend groups queue, and they get into groups with a 20+ stack, and their experience is completely ruined.
This is how it will go for you:
IF YOU’RE LUCKY, you will get to roll vs 24 other people on every single item. Everyone will need everything, regardless of if they can equip it, so they can trade it to their guildies or friends.
If you aren’t lucky, you’ll get a guild group that just mass kicks everyone else before you even get to click need, leaving you without even your 1/25 shot at an item.
You really don’t want the sweaties in LFR, I promise you.
Fringe cases are called that for a reason.
Oh no! Still getting valor, still rolling. Non-issue.
Those examples are not unique to LFR and are entirely not the norm. Fear mongering is low level bad faith arguing.
I’ve played this game since 2004, every single expansion, and every single version of LFR.
LFR had feature over the years that prevent you from rolling on downgrades or items you already have/can’t equip, restrict trading upgrades away, prevent 1 person from winning multiples of the same upgrade, etc.
There is a reason this was all added, and if its not in cata LFR (which it wasn’t originally) you’re gonna learn the hard way. If its no changes, it will be one of the worst experience for the casuals you think LFR is great for.
You’re not forced to do LFR. Just have some self control.
As have I. You aren’t unique in this.
Wanted to add; and replace them with who? more randoms that they can’t kick? You cannot specifically invite someone to LFR after the raid is in progress.
When was this added? LOOOOONG after Cata ended. Clearly wasn’t enough of a real issue to be added in Cata. Keep in mind I am not saying this attitude of rolling on everything never existed, I am saying you are overblowing it massively and that it is just as likely in a pug group outside of LFR. As in my years of playing I have seen happen, but rarely.
The rest of your post is irrelevant fear mongering so I am going to ignore it.
Bury your head in the sand if you want… but when the options are “Do LFR to get your tier and trinkets sooner or we will replace you and find someone who will.”
You don’t have the option. It is either you do… or you don’t raid what you want to raid.
It is called a requirement. Just like all the people who don’t want to do heroics… but have to do heroics before they are allowed to raid.
Just like in Legion where people had to remake entire characters because RNG screwed them over… did they want to remake those characters… no they did not… did they have to for their raid spot? Yes they did.
you still are not being forced to do it. You have the option of finding a guild more suited to how you want to play.
OR you raid with a different group.
Key difference is LFR is in no way required to step foot in normal DS.
Not our fault you joined elitists. Not our fault you ARE an elitist. Don’t want to do it, don’t do it.
Yeah keep buying your head in the sand. I guess it is fine for others to have a worse experience because you get yours right?
Yeah, it is not the elitist. Sorry to break it to you pal.
No one is putting their head in the sand. This is a you problem, because you, and your loser elitist friends, have no self control.
Literally not what I said. Come back when you want to discuss things instead of being upsetti spaghetti about issues that are entirely avoidable.
No, not me with my head in sand, that would be you. I directly addressed the concerns you put forward. You chose to deflect since what I said is valid and accurate.
