Andrews are so strange. MoP is the best expansion ever. Legion highs are right up there. But sure, the game died because some stuff got easier lol. Andrews melting down
It did not see a massive boost during Wrath. It was a slight gain. Still a gain though.
I wouldnāt be fully opposed to the trading post if it meant I could get one of the 15 or so unusable mounts in the game due to no TCG
Its nice because thereās basically no harm in adding it. You lose nothing by ignoring it, lose nothing by doing it.

but aside from that, i kinda like many things about Cata especially the transmog & the planet vs zombie mini-game in Hillsbrad

I have not seen one post, claiming every single person quit cata because they didnāt likeā¦yet, that is the first assumption made.
Even if someone did/does claim thatā¦that still doesnāt speak for everyone.
Also,
A year is not very long for the players that have other time commitments. Which is one more reason to avoid cata, for me. I careless what they do with cata or sod, I would just would like wrath era servers.
Not even cata is going to cata, certainly shows they are chasing the retail base over the base that actually wanted to relieve the xpac. If they do indeed add itā¦

Bro if my company said they wanted me to sign an NDA about not discussing cold hard data Iād be very sus to begin with, but if I did sign it because it was spun as information they donāt freely want to get out there, but the the next thing I knew they were reporting blatant lies Iād be going back to them screaming WTF, and I imagine everyone else on the team would be too. Someone would crack, either via intentially leaking or just venting to other co-workers and that can cause it really blow up and eventually get out.
I realize companies are nefarious, but theyāre also nefarious in smart/logical ways. Theyāre not stupid; they are put a lot of time into deciding how they spin or report stuff. Theyāre far better off taking survey data that reported 51% of people want Cataclysm and telling us āThe majority of players want Cataclysmā rather than getting 10% and just lying about it.
They do. The surveys are designed to obtain feedback from a wide variety of players. Cataclysm had a healthy population. While the xpac inspired a number of diehard fans to quit (myself included,) many powered through and many, many new players joined.

Waitā¦ so Cataclysm is supposed to take place over a year? 16-week phases? Sounds like one of the major issues with Cataclysm is fixed with that (The long drought after Dragon Soul)
What were the other major issues besides not being able to get back to the old world?
This was the major issue for me. If they just opened up the new zones, it would have been a lot better. Other issues for me were worgen and the addition of extra resources (i.e., holy power.)
Holy power was Cata? Yuck.
I also remember not liking the destruction of the original Azeroth, but right now Iām ready for it. And itāll always exist in Classic Era so itās not a big deal for me.
I remember REALLY disliking how they butchered the talent trees. That youāre locked into a tree until you max it out. That youāre no longer spending talents every level. It felt like hand holding, and the loss of choice and freedom. Hybrid builds died.
I very much enjoyed the 80-85 leveling though. It was the one time you could fly right off the bat. The Molten Front was fun. Tol Barad sucked compared to Wintergrasp, but Blizz butchered WG in Classic anyway. I assume theyāll do the same to TB and make it a cross-realm bg since it wonāt work with layers either.
I eventually enjoyed the dungeons, but sadly Blizz is shoving in Mythic dungeons into Cata after their catastrophic failure on Wrath. So get ready for toxic gatekeeping thanks to the fact Blizz knows nothing other than crappy e-sport design. So this is what will keep me from Cata Classic as I have zero interest in that.

Mythic dungeons donāt exist in Wrath Classic and arenāt in Cata Classic.
Going back to Cataclysm when I came back was okayā¦ I got used to holy power, and appreciated not needing soul shards on my warlock. Iāll likely carry on in Cars with all my toons that Iāve invested time in, but Iām also likely to just tool around on SoD (anyone recall the metal zine with the same title) and Era.
