No, I meant…ah forget it. Swish hand over head motion.
Anyhow, I’ve interacted enough with you on this, I believe I’m due a capuccino.

Oh I got your non-point, don’t worry… doesn’t change that it’s a skill issue.
Enjoy your cappuccino big dawg.
I spend more time crashing into walls than staying on a road, and the camera just keeps getting stuck cause it not able to keep up with the erratic motion. The area is just too cramped for the speed it goes at, the area is just as easy to get around on a ground mount. This is fine for racing, but as the zone mount it not fun.
Every body doesn’t have full function of their hands like you do, I deal with arthritis, but I make it fly.
As i have said before, you can just tap the w key and put put around if you cant use the drift mechanic, but i am sure it wont be as fun.
I have carpal tunnel… again, I stand by the statement that it’s a skill issue.
So you think that DRIVE is perfect and has zero things that need improvement? Lol. Talk about being disingenuous.
Trying to decide if I want to. Not entirely sure what the point is of the cart - I guess it goes a little faster? Along a nice, open country road it would be cool, but yeah not so much in this small gobby city.
skill issue
If I sat there and got used to it maybe it would be fine for me. I just don’t really want to, I don’t care for the drifting system.
I liked dragonriding way more, even without all of the glyphs it was just “fly up” and “go faster”. I don’t need to drift or turn a certain way. I wasn’t running into things. I just can’t be bothered to put that much effort in trying to get to point A from point B. Dragonriding was an upgrade to traveling for me, DRIVE is not, it feels like a downgrade designed to make travel more annoying rather than more convenient.
Well, that’s your choice.
Just gotta stick with the slower ground mount.
I also found out by messing around with the DRIVE system that for some reason if you tilt your camera down more on your car it for some reason has better maneuvering than if you are tilted slightly upwards?
I have no idea why that is the case but it’s extremely weird. Also you basically can’t use your mouse at all when driving or it completely screws up the turning and makes it like… slip and slide around and feel weird.
There are definitely weird issues with the system like this that need to be fixed IMO. Using your mouse to look around with the camera should not affect the way the car moves at all, that is silly.
What? I hold W and move with the mouse or just the mouse… and have zero issues, I don’t know where is struggle is coming from.
Dunno what to tell you but whenever I try to use my mouse at all with the car it like slips and slides around and turns super weird. Even if I just use my mouse to move the camera around.
I basically have to keep my camera stationary on the car pointed downwards or any time I use my A or D key it slips and slides around.
I also have A and D rebound to strafe instead of turn.
There’s two big things, it’s not that it goes super fast, but it goes super fast and runs into things, and the zone it’s in is super compact. Throw in the lack of control while going fast and you have a recipe for disaster.
Not to even mention during the few times where I do want to go fast, drift being bound to space means it conflicts with jumping for me. Also you have to swerve wildly all over the place to get more speed. There’s some skill to it but the roads are way too tight and bendy to really be enjoyable.
Not to mention that it’s thrown in at a horrid point in the story, you’re directed randomly to it, all of a sudden you’re halfway across the zone with no clue of where you started. Not a big deal but it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Amen to this. It feels like the people that designed the DRIVE system and the people that designed the zone were in two completely different countries and kept from contacting each other under the threat of prolonged torture.
I don’t mind the DRIVE physics nearly as much as I mind how the zone I am forced to use in seems completely designed to punish me for trying to drive fast. Add to this all the navigation problems and the complete lack of any style of GPS/navigation assistance on the main screen, the likes have been a mainstay in pretty much every driving game since GTA 3 in 2001.
Chalk another one up on the “nice idea, sloppy execution” scoreboard for WoW.
I don’t mean this in a derogatory way at all, but it’s a skill issue (or lag). Once you actually take the time to learn how to D.R.I.V.E you’ll be zipping around. The key to drifting is to not hold the drift key, start your drift and let go and you’ll have loads of control. After getting gold in all races I can attest to this.
I think a lot of people are just becoming less accepting of failure.
Make a new system work at least as well as driving games from the 90s or don’t push it through half baked.
I am baffled by how conditioned people are on this form to support trash.
It’ll be cool if we could use a steering wheel to control drive
Honestly it would be fine if the damn thing could corner at all.
Needs 2 city blocks to make a turn ![]()
That was never said and you know it
