I’m sure they have people who do market research or calculate proportions based on population estimates and they figure out what percentage of their customers find such systems a problem, they figure out the amounts and decide that, proportionately, it is better to provide something for the kinds of players who enjoy things like Plunderstorm, Skyriding, etc and put more of those into the game.
It’s purely about numbers, and which ones are more likely to increase their bottom line. My gut feeling is that WoW will become more and more like a phone app game and less like its past.
I mean this isn’t hard since dragonriding is literally the best thing that has come from Blizzard since legit garrison gold missions with a full roster of treasure hunting followers in WoD.
DRIVE has been fun… if you’re struggling with movement, that’s a you problem, use your drift and let go of the accelerator, which you don’t really even need to if you drift properly, which is also easy… y’all never drove a real car?
I am 100% being serious, I don’t see how anyone is struggling with it, it’s easy to get used to and took me a few minutes at most… I found out how to drift and it was smooth sailing.
It’s great if you want to get from point A to point B in a relatively straight line, but if you have to twist and turn around a lot of obstacles it’s awful. I just use my regular ground mount with the 20% move speed boost mount item and weave my way through the obstacles and back alleys.
Yea you’re more than likely hitting the nail on the head, I feel it’s such an easy system to learn and dragonflying was the same thing, simple and straightforward systems.
Can’t tell you how many of that type of comment I have seen over my life. “If I can do it, anyone can”, “I can do you, should be able to also”, “I cant see how you cant do it”.
It justt makes my teeth ache. Try assuming that (a) everyone is not you and (b) having an iota of empathy is a positive life aspect.
I didn’t like the new D.R.I.V.E. system at first, either. With practice, though, I’ve a little better and it’s much more enjoyable now. I’ve managed to get good enough to be able to drive with my mouse and my Razer Tartarus rather than the arrow keys, so I’m happy enough.
I do really wish, though, that we had a really big open area where we could practice. Trying to learn this new system with all the crap and corners you can get stuck on is really frustrating.
OK, enjoy it. I mean, its such deep, worthwhile content. And obviously you can’t see why anyone might struggle with it. Sad that you can’t but … thats a …player…issue, ain’t it.
