The cancer of all the "booster" mages

Not worth it. First world for first worlders. Third for third

What the hell are you on about?

Why the hell would anyone level on a pvp server if they dont enjoy… world pvp. I dont get why they would purposely choose a pvp server, and then hide in dungeons specifically to avoid the pvp they signed up for. Counter-intuitive behavior. They should have just rolled on a PvE server from the getgo.

You’ll have to ask someone from the 99% mono-faction PVP realms that for an answer.

Ok lets try to take this logic and apply it elsewhere to see if it continues to work?

“I don’t understand the obsession with forcing people to drive cars the way y’all want them to be driven. If people want to swerve in their lanes, they should be able to.”

Doesn’t work here. Lets try another context.

“I don’t understand the obsession with forcing people to stop serving customers at bars that are already drunk. If people wanna get even more drunk in public they should be able to.”

Nope. Doesn’t work there.

“I don’t understand the obsession with forcing people to walk their dogs on a leash. If i don’t want to walk my dog on a leash, I shouldn’t have to.”

Nope. doesn’t work here.

It seems in any context I can imagine. That this line of logic doesn’t really hold up to scrutiny. Because in these contexts the people going against the generally excepted “playstyles” are negatively effecting those around them.

If you boost it hurts the economy, it hurts the gameplay cause you get people who cant play boosted to max level, it fills the chat with spam, its pay to progress which is pay to win, etc etc.

same as any other situation like driving dangerously or walking your dog without a leash in public.

I’ve been playing on mankrik because of this. Mellower there.

Yeah, comparing situations where people literally die to a situation where someone simply gets to 60 without having to play the way you want them to play is not a good frame for comparison.

“Someone is playing the game wrong, and they need to be stopped”.

It works this way in every game in this genre, that people who play a game that has many options, many ways of playing, will restrict their own gameplay by not using many features, then turn around and claim that everyone who is not playing exactly as they are is cheating and should be stopped to save the purity of the game.

One of the reasons players want other players to be prevented from boosting is because they are convinced that those boosted alts would be filling their groups if they couldn’t boost. That’s bizarre. If people who are sick of leveling couldn’t boost, they wouldn’t be leveling alts at all.

I don’t support RMT, but people go way overboard with restrictions intended to remove most player interactions, and especially removing the ability to help other players, who they see as not deserving help of any kind.

All I want is the boosters out of LFG, the only way is to ignore them, telling them doesn’t work.

I cant think of a single time that somebody who got boosted affected my gameplay.

Thats exactly how analogies work. You take two different situations that have the same context and compare them. Usually one has much higher stakes to further point out the differences.

I even provided multiple examples in case of this very scenario where you try to pretend you didnt like one for whatever reason. They are all valid and make the same point.

Not walking your dog on his leash can lead to hurting the overall experience of other people in a park. boosting can lead to hurting the overall experience of other people in an MMO. Its the SAME concept.

Youv never played with a bad player that was boosted to max level? Really? Do you not play much? You’ve never had a hard time reading chat due to the spam of boosters? You never had people selling boosts for something your currently running, thereby thinning out the pool or people doing it?

Its crazy to think that you have never been effected. Lucky lucky.

Ive been with bad players that have boosted and Ive been with equally bad players that didnt boost. Theres no difference. I think its common sense that if these people are willing to pay to get rushed through levelling that if boosting got taken away they just wouldnt level that alt. Ive never had issues getting groups for a dungeon I wanted to do that was being advertised as a boost at the same time no… More people level the normal way than they do boosting.

So yeah, boosted characters have never impacted me at all.

If you don’t understand how a game impacts you differently when it becomes pay to win or pay to progress then I’m not sure I can explain it any more simply.

Somebody getting boosted in a dungeon doesnt change my experience at all and it never has. Couldnt careless what other people do on their accounts.

You cant have booster mages without the soft, cheap, sellout boost buyers. Its a combo deal. If youre serious about this stuff make sure you get on them too.

How are they toxic? They’re helping people level… you may find leveling fun, others don’t.

Not caring about something doesnt mean it stops effecting you. Thats not how that works. If you get sick and stop caring about it. you are still sick.

you know whats funny all of them are contained to LFG while people actually looking for groups for SFK and stuff just use trade chat

This is rich coming from the champion of the so called “hardcore” single player mode.

You’re all over the place, no clue what you want
