WoW was like this well before Microsoft took over not sure why you’re blaming Microsoft when it’s very clearly a Blizzard issue.
The prepatch member berries stuff was really stupid and didn’t really seem to matter to anything. There’s some nice QoL stuff with warbands and skyriding but both feel like they could’ve just been done in patches. Hero talents are really hit or miss. I do not care about the skin-tag dwarves and they somehow made evil spider people not seem threatening or scary. So pretty ‘meh’ on every selling point.
HOWEVER. The Chris Metzen interview was very interesting because it seemed like War Within was already pretty deep in development when he came back, so the ‘World Soul Saga’ seems like it’s going to take a while before it aligns with whatever vision he had. I hope it does sooner rather than later because at this point, War Within seem like it’ll lose any appeal after a few months. Which honestly is fine, I’ve been playing WoW long enough to know when to take a hiatus.
So go play something else? Many of us really liked Dragonflight and have enjoyed WW so far as well.
Proof please.
Spin baby, spin!!!
That’s how the expacs have worked for a while now… It’s not 2004, you don’t have to drop base+10 expacs.
It’s new content, new story line, new dungeons, new mechanics, new raids, and part 1 of a 3 part story line
This has more to do with a misalignment of expectations than standards. Look at literally any thriving MMO and how they are modeled. WoW has changed a lot over the years. DF was a step in the right direction, this is another.
If you really are this unhappy, Blizzard won’t miss your subscription. Sounds like they already got your Epic fee.
remind me of how they absolutely wasted Argus content
Y’know, it’s amazing to me that people pay for this game to complain about it.
At the very least, it seems like that’s what y’all are doing.
If people are not having fun with the game then stop playing. It makes no sense to choose to be miserable.
I have walked away from other games and other expansions because they were not for me rather than making my life and others miserable.
I get so tired of these low effort replies. Stick the game if you’re having fun, stop worrying about what people are posting on the forums.
People are allowed to post their criticism here as long as is doesn’t break the TOS.
These comments just scream insecurity to me. Stop making video games part of your identity.
Honestly I hope legion two never makes an appearance. I took a break from wow in legion specifically because I couldn’t stand almost everything it did. If AP ever makes another reappearance, that’s the day I’m gone.
I get so tired of low effort rant threads. If you actually think the original post is a completely valid criticism from somebody who wants to enjoy this game, I don’t know what to tell you.
Okay, and… where did I say they’re not allowed to?
You’re free to interpret my comments however you wish.
Thanks for advice I don’t need and didn’t ask for, random internet stranger #14028347?
TWW has been giving me Cata vibes since we started to get info on it. And not in a good way. Leveling was fast and easy, ok, not terrible. Finished the campaign halfway through 78. Working on sojourner and wq stuff now. I’ll be done before the game actually launches. Sitting at 551 ilvl and I’ve done one dungeon total.
At the rate this is going, by the end of next week I’ll be back to doing weekly stuff and then running old content for mogs.
I’m pretty much over the wow forums. yall will never be happy. Just move on already.
Exactly. I mean it’s a game right, this isn’t something we are forced to spend our time on if we don’t like it. If folks hate it so dang much like the guy going off on this thread - fine they exercised their right to complain, got it off their chest or whatever- just quit then. I mean it’s that simple.
I’m enjoying it immensely. I’ve played wow on and off since 2005. Yes it’s the same formula for game play but I am not a player that thinks that’ll ever change . That’s the game. To each their own but complaining of lack of content during early access is at best illogical. That said I do agree if we mention legion yes class halls were ace and I really wish blizz would have ever greened that content.
I don’t see the complaint really. I’ve had a blast thus far. The crafting may be a bit of a miss with me. It seems a tad upcharged. But meh. I have enjoyed the story thus far and the character banter has been spot on.
I think it’s been off to a strong start thus far, but that’s just me. I can 100% say it’s no Dawntrail from FFXIV haha. You all want to talk about a boring expansion with bad voiceovers… go play FFXIV’s new xpack and come back.
Wuk Lamat needs to take a long, long vacation.
The music, art and gameplay was fantastic though
Did you read what I typed at all? Guessing not or you’d see I’m not the one hopping through mental gymnastics when the person I was replying to wrote an entirely too long post describing how bad blizzard was but he continues paying for the game anyways.
I have to say the story is more interesting than DF to me. Side quests too, pretty fun. But kinda sick of Anduin. Thrall is only there to appease the horde, he hasn’t done anything. Baine ofc mia. At least no night elves story lol.
So your mad because you paid for live content and then expect others to, years later, even though they didn’t play it live. I paid for vanilla, tbc, wrath, cata, etc … should I be mad at players that started their wow journey in MoP because they weren’t forced to pay for all of those previous expansions. Can you imagine being a company trying to coerce new players to their game and then saying it only cost x dollars for the game then 40 per expansion after for 10 expansions. Make it make sense. You paid for DF because you wanted to play it live. I find it funny though you maintained a sub for 2 years even though you apparantly have nothing positive to say about wow. If your not enjoying it fine… There’s millions of other games out there. I myself played 5 or 6 other games during df during down times between seasons. But to argue your experience is correct or blizzards downfall is inaccurate. I, and many of the people I play with, have absolutely enjoyed nearly every aspect of DF and so far I’m enjoying the early release content in tww. That doesn’t make me a blizzard fan boy but just a person that enjoys the game. If you don’t move on.
