I posted this week on the arena forum and the DH forum.
There are a lot of nice, well mannered, well spoken individuals that seem to genuinley enjoy the game and just want to talk about WoW.
However there are a lot, maybe more than the previously mentioned, kind of players that seem to just want to argue, insult and discredit other players.
Maybe Blizzard would listen to the players more and be more open to dialog if the latter kind of players were lesser in numbers of players and frequency of posts.
I think if a larger percentage of posters would be willing to listen to everyone, then Blizzard might have more of a forum presence and have more Q and A type talks, where they interact directly with players.
like u can’t really be bothered by how other ppl get their dopamines unless ur dopamines ccome from yes men. the harsh truth is man. life is life. nobody here knows what ur talking about. but i will say this. you are well mannered. so I hope the best.
You have been non-stop arguing for the last 8 hours trying to defend DH.
There’s no Disneyland version of reality where this happens. Anywhere there’s actual public discourse allowed there are arguments and no amount of “niceness” will get Blizzard to risk putting their foot in their mouth on a regular basis.
No, I have said melee and casters are too mobile compared to TBC. I said I do not think that conquest full conquest gear is easy and fast to achieve doing random bgs at 50 per win. I asked when to use Cleanse the Flame. That playing my DH, I have only ran into 1 double DH in 42 lobbies, etc. Pretty normal stuff.
I did have a lot of problems trying to explain to people and quoting myself on exactly what I did say. Exactly what I am doing now.
I never defended DH. You can say I did, but there is no post on these forums where I said DHs are fine. I never said they do not need nerfs.
I said I never said that a lot though.
I think that Blizzard people stopped posting so much on Twitter for the very reasons I stated. That is my opinion from what I noticed and others have said. I don’t think they would be admitting they are wrong all the time, but maybe they would listen more and communicate more.
“The saying “you attract more bees with honey than vinegar” is a proverb that means that it is better to be kind and gentle than to be harsh and aggressive . The saying is often used to encourage people to be more positive and less confrontational in their interactions with others.”
Crazy that someone did exactly what I mentioned in the original post, only 3 posters and 4 posts down.
Anyway maybe these forums should be more about sharing opinions instead of trying to shut people down and or insult them.
its all perspective man. ppl that got r1 in bc, kited. kited bettter. i mean it was magic. learning that u can run around middle while casting everything. i was mind blown. even back than there was aj to tell ppl s key is bad ya know
Coming from the guy who spent hours saying awful stuff about a dude’s irl family
There’s a chance you say stupid stuff like this because you think it’s “trolling” but you’re such a clueless muppet that you probably 100% believe it despite you being the worst human being on this forum by a wide margin
As far as the OP is concerned, I will be the first to admit that some of us, myself included, can get a bit too aggressive at times. That being said, it usually only occurs when someone doubles down on an argument that they are actually wrong about and not usually just a simply difference of opinion
Either way, blizzard left this place alone a long time ago for reasons that probably had more to do with posters whining about wanting something dumb and being just as aggressive, if not more so, when they are told it’s bad for the game for xyz. Hell, there’s a thread on the front page right now where a sin rogue thinks his spec is the weakest in the game and needs big buffs while telling anyone who disagrees that they are bad, delusional, etc.
If you were blizzard, why on Earth would you want to engage with that?
100% this, you will notice when someone (it’s rare) comes in with questions and genuinely wants to learn we are the first to give answers. When people come in and want to just whine and blame everything but themselves we push back and call them out. People like to get upset about that and say we are bad posters but won’t look in the mirror and realize they have awful attitudes.
Nas is far more patient then I am, I can’t stand when someone is so arrogant to completely refuse the help of someone far better then him (he’s doing it for free btw), and instead just looks to try and make himself look correct.
I think that people can absolutely be nicer, less toxic, avoid rating/class bashing, assume good intentions etc etc.
However, I think a lot of people just genuinely do not know what they’re talking about or have a strong frame of reference.
For example, I see wizards complain about melee mobility and that they cant ever cast. I see melee complain about casters instant casts and how they can never have uptime.
Class x complains about y complains about Z.
In general i hear things like, “balance is so bad” but no onr functionally articulates what is bad. In reality, balance is pretty good overall and anyone can be successful if they put in work.
Unfortunately, I think most people would rather blame game balance for their own shortcomings rather than ask for help.
It’s always been my experience that anyone who asks a genuine question or wants help has always gotten support, regardless of rating/achievements and people who whine and try to make excuses are shunned - and they should be.
Biggest singular problem with arena right now is the population, IMO. Everything I play is in a pretty good spot, just no one wants to play (including myself) because every game from 1400+ is a sweatfest, and even the better people I have on btag have issues finding people to actually push with.
It’s hilarious how true it is, and hilarious how the ppl who think this are the reason for it. If they played then mmr would rise and it wouldn’t be a sweatfest at those levels.
So you and others see yourselves as a sort of vigilante group that is needed to dish out forum justice?
Could it be that new posters are sometimes falsley caught in your forum justice wasp nest of trolls?
Maybe it would be a good idea for this group to tone it down some. Especially for new posters/players.
I think a lot of the times I see it and think maybe it is egging them on a bit, maybe. There is really no reason to take it so far sometimes. I do not think it is helping anyone much to take it to the extreme a lot of the times.
Maybe they just want to vent some. They are not fooling Blizzard into thinking they need to say buff and already OP class. I doubt blizzard would be swayed on way or the other. My feeling is that they take a look and think “holy cow, these guys are a little out of control with the argueing.”
