OMG I FORGOT DARK CRYSTAL WAS CANCELED. It looked so good from what I’ve seen

Resident Evil is just cursed when it comes to adaptations. I did hear the animated movies were aight tho

I have 0 exp with the IP, as a stand alone thing with no reference point it seemed ok!

I’m happy you enjoyed it. But it did no justice to the game/og series

Lots of good series out there have been canceled that still had some juice, but a few I think had a lot more to give:

Firefly
Counterpart
Marco Polo
And through my kid eyes…The Six Million Dollar Man

Stroker and Hoop

Hell on Wheels
Longmire
Walking Dead…only the last few episodes left… so much potential but they let the characters get dull and you didn’t have the emotional attachment like you did to the original character any more.

I like AMC new show Dark Winds, I hope it does well, not sure the country is ready for a Native American casted Show…but Being Native we have some great movies also, but a good population don’t even know about them.

Also going to be sad when American Horror Story comes to an end…

WHAT no one is sad Looking for Bigfoot got canceled???..

Yeah, I didn’t start watching that show until all the outrage over it being cancelled. It started off a little rough but damn it got good quick.

Really? He hasn’t had a novel in that series in years.

Tucker “Trip” dying was the end :sob:, they could have made 10 more seasons, wouldn’t have been the same if it wasn’t in it.

Can someone explain to me how shows like Titans on netflix get multiple seasons, yet Bojack Horseman gets canceled?

I don’t think that would’ve happened if they’d been renewed for a 5th season, they went into those final episodes knowing it was the end.

Glow! …and Firefly of course

I agree… they wanted it to have an “impact”.
But if they had decided to renew it after that, they basically sealed it for good (for me at least).

2 books in 2020. 18th book is announced, no release date yet that I know of.

17 books in the series since the year 2000, I’d say he’s pumping them out at a good pace overall.

Two years (and counting) is “years” - I stand by my statement.

He’s been busy with other series. The Dresden Files have sort of fallen by the wayside.

The first 17 books averaged around 14 months between volumes. He’s probably going to double that with the period between 17 and 18 (if we’re lucky).

Disappointing as his other stuff is weak tea by comparison.

You just reminded me to see if there was any movement on Winds of Winter.

Nope. Think I’m done with GRRM.

After so many novels in the series he’s probably a bit burned out on Dresden. He is trying to branch out but the Dresden Files are his bread and butter and he knows it.
I’d rather wait a couple years and get a good one instead of something hurried and not up to par.

I haven’t given up on somebody actually doing a good series based on the novels. The first show was a low budget mess.

I was done with him when he flat-out lied about the 4th novel.

In an afterward to the 3rd one he said that rather than tell half the story of all the characters, he told all the story of half the characters and then quite obviously had the 4th book ghost-written by someone who wasn’t well-versed in the lore.

I quit reading them after that.
