The best form of protest

The best form of protest is not posting on forums, but quitting this exhausting game altogether.

Endlessly raising item level caps and forcing you to participate in Mythic raids you don’t want to play — that is Blizzard’s strategy.

Completely unfair gear progression and endless mental exhaustion.
As long as they think you’re still enjoying it, they’ll keep raising the bar.

I wonder. How they are supposed to make us feel stronger if the ilvl don’t change and our equipment don’t make us do more damage?

Also, Blizzard never forced me do anything. I log in and go do whichever I want

On a basic level, if someone isn’t enjoying the game they should just quit playing. I think that FOMO with the sunk cost fallacy keeps people subscribing beyond what is reasonable.

I’ve left MMOs in the past once I got to a point where I was upset enough and wasn’t enjoying myself anymore.

or hear me out, take a long break each time you feel like that , 6 months and come back to enjoy the game again in a different season and say hi to old friends . why people have to be 0 or 100, there is a nice medium

I respect that it’s your way of playing, but for many current M+ players, this kind of design mechanism feels unfair.

How much do you think the gap between Mythic dinar and non Mythic dinars is?

Based on your response I assume you’re a M+ player. Cared to explain what feels unfair? And as a M+ player what are your goals?

Didn’t get given free mythic raid loot

Have mythic raid loot

Who is being forced to mythic raid?

You mean, 3 items that are possibly 13ilvl higher, more likely 2 if you’re an m+er, which will bump up your gear score by 1-2ilvl total, are forcing people to mythic raid? Lol

No one is forcing me to play in Mythic raids. In fact now that they have Follower Dungeons, Delves that give you access to the Great Vault and Story Mode Raids, there is no need to do group content at all.

Back in my days my raid leader distributed gear based on player participation on the guild, helping the bank, the new players and/or based if you were about to get a set bonus etc. I don’t raid since WOD so, I bet things have changed a lot

But there is the thing…we enjoy what we are doing. We are not happy with their decisions, and rightfully so, but that also doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy what we enjoy in the game.

So you couldn’t even take your own advice?

We tend to distribute our loot based on how it’ll be most effective for the upcoming boss fights. Who gets the biggest upgrade mixed with what the most relevant classes are for the fights we’re going to be progressing.

People using that word don’t seem to comprehend its meaning.

Game isn’t forcing you to do anything.

Best form of protest is stripping down, slathering yourself completely in peanut butter, and shouting at the top of your lungs: “ANARCHY!!!” for 24 hours straight…

Actually, that sounds more like Second Life than WoW.

This is actually correct.

Has always been a thing in wow since the very beginning.

How exactly are you being forced to do something you don’t want to do?

How is it unfair? You being a slave to the gear treadmill is your own choice. You’re making that choice and negatively impacting your mental health.

Many people do enjoy it. I mean actually enjoy it and not thinking they’re “forced” to do anything. It’s fun for them.
