The best form of protest

That’s fair. Strategic since your guild looks more hardcore than mine was. The distribution based on participation on the guild was to avoid giving gear to a person that don’t really play the game, come to raid just to get the loot and then log off for the rest of the week. Well, every case is unique and guilds should arrange things in a way that everyone involved agrees to.

Really?

M+ players sure do whine the loudest :dracthyr_yay_animated:

I think buying stuff from the cash shop is the best protest. They worry about losing whales more than minnows. Get that raven set. For justice.

Social pressure does work. We have some pretty clear examples of that with content blizzard has silently removed.

Quitting is the best but not every change is make it or break it. If something annoys you, voice it.

agreed.
if you want to send a message, stop paying the bill and tell them why.

its exhausting to me as well…and I make the adult decision to get off the gear grinding hamster wheel and play the game in a way I CAN enjoy…and now it doesnt irritate me nearly as much.

as long as the masses keep grinding gear, theyre telling blizzard they enjoy it and so bliz will keep giving them more gear to grind…just like, thankfully, they keep giving my sort more transmogs to farm.

More likely not the highest end of M+ players in here whining much.
Those that do confuse me.
They play the game at the highest level, then would whine about the requirements to do so?
If its that dramatic, stop doing it.
Makes me think of that old thing with the doctor…“doc, my arm hurts when I move it this way”…“then dont move it this way” lol…but they keep doing it knowing the results. lol

They whined enough to get affixes removed, just so number can go up by 1, maybe.

I do not like removal of affixes, to cater to competitive play at the top end.

Affixes sucked, getting to consistently improve week on week instead of waiting for the good week to play once in a blue moon is a lot better.

And yet we keep them in for a crowd that mostly just wants loot. lol.

Push weeks as a side effect, that being gone is good but I’d rather have variety.

If I don’t post on the forums how will anyone know I quit?

If the game isn’t fun for me anymore the least I can do is create a new topic in an attempt to convince others to also quit, I wouldn’t want to be alone in my misery, it needs company.

I guess the idea is those people who just want loot don’t actually want to progress, so the variety makes more sense there.

People who are pushing ostensibly seem to want consistency, not variety.

That bracket would be ecstatic if the dungeon itself was removed, and a vendor would just bless them with both loot and vault slots.

It makes no sense to leave mechanics in for a crowd that doesn’t appreciate mechanics.

you noticed that too, eh?
Lol…I wonder how missed it?
I only started in Legion, but I was grinding gear all thru 110 levels to get there.
Not sure how anyone missed that part of the game…especially since its like…you know…kind of a core aspect of it. lol

and there is the million dollar question.
So evidently M+ players whine about having to do any side quests leveling to get to end game…then complain about having to gear to stay in end game.
Why are they playing at all?

exactly.
By the time BFA started…which was the first Expansion I started at the beginning…and now the hero god man of Azeroth is dying to 2 or 3 quillrats in Drustvar, I then realized that all that gear grinding had been pointless. They were gonna keep me gear starved perpetually…something Im not interested in participating in.
I did stop playing wow for a stretch…and had my nephew not wanted me to run some stuff with him Id likely have stayed at ESO and be there now, but he did, and I came back and realized I dont have to do the gear grind…this game has a lot of stuff i do enjoy doing, so I’ll do that instead because it doesnt keep me grinding my teeth like griinding ilvl does.

CLEARLY the case…or bliz would have caught on years ago that it wasnt working

Yeah, it’s literally just “their ilvl go up by more than MINE!” while ignoring the fact that basically only CE level players can get most of the upgrades worth getting.

But I’ve pointed out many times that if they cared about the disparity, they would be doing Heroic already because the items they actually want are basically just as strong on Heroic, they don’t scale super well with ilvl (compared to stuff like Chests/Weapon) but they just have an insanely high floor.

But alas, this is not a rational complaint. So they will crash out over someone who does CE level content getting a dinar that nets them 20k DPS more.

I started 2 weeks before BC dropped. Been here for a good while. It’s always been like this. New raid drops, new vendors/badges/currency/gear. It’s literally always been a treadmill.

I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone that says they’re “forced” to do something. No, it’s always been a choice.

I enjoy collecting mogs. I love that I can get a current season mythic appearance and not have to wait 4+ years for it to become legacy content to farm.

Yup. Blizzard has the stats to show them what’s working and what’s not. Sometimes (BFA and SL) it takes them a while to catch on to what’s NOT working but they eventually fixed it.

One form of protest is NOT buying any of the overpriced stuff in the store. (i.e $90 mount)

Quitting doesnt really communicate the problem. And i feel like making serious, thoughtful posts on the forums are ignored.

What really gets their attention is when theyre getting mocked in the industry. So what you can do as a non-internet personality is to amplify YouTubers when they make valid critiques.

When public opinion gets to the powers that be, and its bad, things change. IMO, nothing else you do makes a difference or matters.

It’s probably the same people who complain about having to buy tokens to afford consumables for their weekly 10s tbh. So many people trying to keep up appearances (and now I’m imagining Mrs ‘bucket’ as a player)

seems to me people are generally content with the direction of this game. the forums are bit a microscopic portion of the games playerbase. so unless you can rally some sort of protest in the game and get the other tiny portion out of reddit and some streamers you may get somewhere lmao.
