The artist that designed the new priest tier set left blizzard

And who do you think should make the art?

I just love that an artist shares how they were thinking about what sort of priest armor they’d like to make, and they thought an armored robe set like Anduin wears was a good idea. And these forums immediately jump to “SO THEY ADMIT THEY’RE BIASED IN FAVOR OF PRIESTS!”

No. That has nothing to do with what they said. Don’t be ridiculous.

Well that totally debunks my theory that the marketing team actually mixed up the paladin and priest sets in the announcement but were so floored at the priests overwhelming positive response, they felt they couldn’t walk it back.

She designed it this way because she plays a priest and thought having an armored looking set like Anduin would be cool. She will be missed.

Proves the theory(what everyone which isn’t lying to themselves thinks) that that set actually is designed like a Paladin set… :joy:

But at least Priests get an awesome set, gratz guys… you can be almost as cool as Paladins now!

So, she plays the game and basically went to work for Blizz, made herself a nice looking mog and went off. Boys, we found a way to actually get Frostmourne. All queue for graphics designers. We only need one to make it in.

Lie. There’s no way for you to know that.

According to a quick google search:

The estimated base pay is $102,478 per year for a Blizzard designer.

and according to an old (not very old) designer employee, on twitter, they are earning less than 80k a year. I can’t find the tweet so you can be suspicious of this information, but anyway… we have no way of knowing if this info is real.

about the topic, i found alexstrasza very…covered, i liked it but i thought she should have a little less clothes like it used to be.

Blizzard has some of the worst wages in the industry.

I don’t get why some people that pay a subscription want to cover for Blizzard’s bad practices even at the detriment of the game.

they need to be spending more on these things not less.

if we keep racing to the bottom wow is going to be free to play and in maintenance mode without updates.

I really do not like this xpac and most of the art is massively disturbing to me. But yea priest tier is dope. I would use it on my main. Been a priest since vanilla and this set is on par with the sanctum of domination cloth set for cool modern sets.

That’s what contractors are though. Temporary.

But if the workers don’t come back to the office how can the executives micromanage them? Think of the poor executives.

I’m in the boat with everyone else that it looks more like a Paladin set but I don’t mind it. I did think the ducks were super cute. Still waiting on that mount. :duck:

So it sucks to hear they left.

How it has been feeling around here for a while… yea…

Anyways I think the sets this raid are nice. I like them quite a bit. (Not too sure about the Shredder one but I don’t mind it. Seems fun for people that would into it) More or less I have enjoyed a lot of sets this expansion. Not just for this raid.
:dracthyr_heart:

Sorry to hear they are losing talented people.

You should al least prove she left because of money before you whine about something you don’t actually know.

Every single one of those employees knew the offered salary from Blizzard before accepting their conditional job offer. Every single one of those employees felt the pay was fair enough for them to accept the job and to trade their time for said job at the time of their interview. Those employees felt that was their worth. Who are you to say anything different?

Right? WoW players are going to throw a fit for the sake of throwing a fit though.

That’s ALMOST as good as TBC Priest tier set. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:
