Did they just reuse the Legion Ysera cinematic in Shadowlands? That seems a little bit odd to me.
Itās a replay of the exact same event. Why wouldnāt they reuse it?

Just seems a bit odd to me. I donāt mind it though if there are going to be more and this isnāt the cinematic that was supposed to ātug at the heartstringsā.
When you acquire the Heart of Azeroth, you replay Sargerasā defeat to learn about events that led to the current scenarioā¦ I imagine itās going to be similar, and there will definitely be other new cinematics.

Oh - thatās probably in the big Wowhead post with all the strings etc. Good catch.
Knowing Blizzardās treatment of dragons I wonāt believe Ysera makes it out of this alive until I actually see it. Wowhead says the questline isnāt completable yet, and so the aprehension remains.
It looks good so far though. I especially want to see that quest with protodrake Ysera.

Not at all. As beautiful as the cinematic may have been, her death was pointless. It accomplished nothing for the narrative, it only existed because Blizzard wanted a sad moment.

Elune could override the Arbiter autority and send Ysera directly to Ardenweald.
She couldnāt or didnāt do the same to the elves that burned on Teldrassil.
So either the events that lead to souls be absorbed by the Maul happened after the death of Ysera, or even Elune didnāt have the power to save all the night elves.

Because itās Ysera, Ardenweald, and possibly Elune, I think this is a spoiler that I wonāt read on. Iāll let myself see it in game.
The Arbiter merely stopped doing anything and the Souls went to the Maw on their own. Thatās what happens when you build Oribos to point the flow of Souls directly into the Mawā¦
If Oribos was built so that the Souls were pointed towards Bastion, Ardenweald or Maldraxxus or all 3 at once they would have been just fine when the Arbiter broke downā¦ So would the Maw as Denathrius is drawing the realmsā Anima to the place.
oribos is literally in the middle it doesnt point to anywhere

And the Maw is right below it! If Oribos was designed to make sure the Souls donāt go straight down into the Maw when the Arbiter is off for any reason(and one can expect any machine to turn off for various reasons no matter how good it is) things would be a lot better for the Shadowlands!
Of course in order to direct Souls away from the Maw the empty circular space or tunnel or whatever you want to call it at the center of Oribos would have to be changed at the bottom so that there would be tunnels pointing to the other Zones in Shadowlands.
The Arbiter should be the sole deciding factor in which Souls go directly into the Maw not the general tube shape of Oribos practically aiming the Souls flowing through it right at the Maw!
