The Archivists' Codex

I know this is falling on deaf ears but it would really be nice if the amount of catalogue research turn ins for tier 6 be drastically reduced. This is going to take forever.

Yes, Master Shareholder.

You’re not kidding.

I’m not super dedicated for farming research so I expect it to take another week to hit rank 5…and probably 5 or 6 weeks after that to hit rank 6.

I know, I could make it go faster if I farmed until I hit the daily research caps…but I’m not that motivated.

At a minimum, they should move some of the rank 6 rewards to rank 5 to make it seem like it is a rewarding process.

Yep. I play the game for about an hour to two a day. I do all the dailies, open all the chest I can, and kill all the bosses I come across. I’ve been doing this for awhile now and I’m tier 4 half way to 5. At the very least, I think the tier 5 gear upgrades should be available at tier 5 with The Archvists’ Codex.

It doesn’t take forever, lots of us are already tier 6.

The best part is, if you want all of your conduits to 252 and don’t raid it’ll take you twice as long as it takes you to just reach tier 6. I’ll have about half as much resources as I need to cap them. Woo time played.

I have 9 conduits at 252 and none came from raiding. Raiding doesnt seem to be a good source.

Averaging maybe 500 rep a day for a decent amount of work. So 32 days of hour long grinds for tier 6.

That does yield 2-3k of anima per day though. Struggling to find something to give us that we don’t need there.

I think what would help is if those 4 key you bought early on reset weekly. And maybe the later tier items reset every other week.

In my anecdotal experience talking to people, the main dividing line between people done (or close to done) with the rep, and people who aren’t, is that the people who aren’t haven’t been doing stuff in The Rift.

Interesting. Maybe this is my problem? When you say the rifts, you are referring to those rifts that show up in Korthia that you use to click on a boss to bring them out. Are there other things to do in those rifts? Chests?

The biggest thing I learned about the rep grind is there’s 4 chests inside the rift part of the map through the portals and they basically give you 400-600 extra daily rep. You literally double your amount of daily rep collecting all the chests.

Wish I knew that 2-3 weeks ago I’d be rank 6 already.

Install the HandyNotes addon.

The grind is trash. Make it faster Blizz please and thank you

Yes, there are additional rares, toys, activities, and chests. Lots of chests. Four, in particular, spawn every day and have really good stuff in them.

Four Rift chests per day, let’s say 100 rep on average per chest, plus another hundred from rares, that’s 500 rep per day that a lot of people have been missing, from the beginning.

Would another 15,000 rep help out your rep bar?

And don’t forget the Vault!

It does if you don’t play 24/7 all day everyday to hit the cap and just do korthia casually.

Thanks, guys. I’ll definitely check this out.

The vault? Sorry if I’m a little slow, but what vault are you referring to? That doesn’t look like the great vault.

Get Handynotes Addon for shadowlands and in the maw zone, in the rift, you’ll see 5 areas with a chest, one of them has a giant chest you can drag back to Ve’nari for cosmetic and other rewards daily. The chest moves slowly and you got 15mins to take it back.

Zovaal’s Vault! It spawns in a random place in the Maw in the Rift. You drag it back to Venari (who’s in the Rift, because of course she is, and isn’t she surprised to see you there!) and she can open it for you.

What rubbish. There are daily caps on all the Archivist items. Somebody who spends 24 hours in Korthia isn’t going to get anything more than somebody who spends a couple hours there.

The Korthia Checklist weakaura is also a good tool. It tracks everything every day so you know when you’ve exhausted each avenue of items (since they all have caps), and can point you towards stuff you might not have been doing.
