The Archivists' Codex

it’s like 4 weeks. The more annoying part is the rep gate for the gear upgrades. I’ll probably be wearing full heroic raid gear before that becomes available to me.

How do I get handynotes ?

It’s a WoW addon. You can use WoWup to download them.

Same for me. Everyone I know who’s R6 is jobless and spent 2 or 3 hours every day in Korthia 7 days a week. That’s pretty sweaty.

All you honestly need to do is the daily quests that drop the codex rep items + loot 5 mawsworn chests + the chest you unlock with 3 keys + go into rift and loot the 4 other chests. Kill some bosses inbetween and that should get you 600-1000 rep a day.

The 4 chests in the rift is kind of the big part that most people are missing since it basically doubles your daily rep with extra drops and stuff.

I do the Korthia stuff each day for an hour and a half or so. I kill all bosses I come across, loot all chests and mushrooms I come across, loot the 4 rift chest, and complete all the dailies, and I’m getting around 550ish rep each day. You need 16k to get to tier 6 from tier 5. At that rate it will take close to a month to get to tier 6. That’s ridiculous.

The Sweat Masters.

The jump from tier 4 to tier 5 is way too drastic. Acquiring the currency for the gear upgrade should be the lone time gate. Just another garbage system to slow players down and stretch the length of the expansion.

It’s about 2.5-3 weeks. I just hit rank 5 weekend before this week and I’m halfway through rank 6. I would have been rank 6 already if I had been looting the rift chests from the start.

When you don’t have any more content for your players, I think that’s the point, lol

WoW has always had rep grinds though. It’s nothing new. Korthia is at least enjoyable and better than the Maw rep grind.

Meh, Korthia is ok, it’s no Timeless isles or Argus, but it’ll do for now I suppose

You probably have about 9 months before any new content is delivered. I think you’ll get to tier 6 in plenty of time.

I’m already laying my bets on 9.1.5 being on the PTR by the end of this month and probably launch next month to pad subscriptions numbers for Q3 (on-top of BC raid launch). They also wants to compete with New World release date.

9.2 will probably be out by the end of the year for Q4 profits and to counter FF14 expansion.

Well, I hope you’re right, but I think they are in enough turmoil ATM that any targets their marketing team would like them to hit are very much up in the air.

I’ve honestly been almost on the dot with guessing the release dates. You have to think of things in a business cycle because every quarter they need to report to share holders. 9.1 launched about two weeks sooner than I had actually predicted. It was that + BC that padded their Q2 earnings.

I already guessed 9.1.5 would be on the PTR by end of August and WoWhead just hinted at it: https://www.wowhead.com/news/new-lua-file-mention-patch-9-1-5-shadowlands-ptr-soon-323759

I wish all the rares had a respawn timer of 15 minutes. Kinda dumb seeing people camping these 1 hour spawns for an RNG drip-feed of reputation gains.

But I’m only getting about 550ish of rep each day. 16k to reach tier 6 from tier 5. That would be about 30 days.

Research is the new anima grind since they fixed the anima drought next patch will fix research gains.

It’s not really the same because it’s meant to be a rep grind just like Vaneri was with the maws introduction. They have to time gate people getting sockets on their gear is the main reason.

It is whether rep or not it’s to keep you busy just like small anima gains same overall purpose. I honestly dont care but why should everyone just get sockets just like that? Then it’s back to I’m bored give me something. Should 9.1 had more sure but dont so.
