The announcement of no RPPVP servers killed the hype for me

I used to go to YouTube and watch the latest Classic WoW videos from Kargoz, TipsOut, MetaGoblin etc. But now I feel let down. I feel let down because of the announcement that at launch, there won’t be any RP-PVP server. I was planning to resub and take off from work so that I could play for a week straight. But now I will stay unsubscribed until there is a classic RP-PVP server.

Weren’t RP-PvP realms the least populated overall? One would make sense, but that might be why.

I don’t understand their current take on it. RP-PvP will probably have the most “classic” experiences on them than any other realm.

As for what they said, yea it sucks but as i’ve been telling others we do have time to change there minds. That’s the best i can offer, people will organize a de-facto RP-PVP server themselves worse case but it’s a damn shame.

I had a similar reaction when I heard the news. RP-PVP servers in Classic was something I took for granted, now that they are in jeopardy it has me worried. I know the game itself will be great, but if I can’t play on my preferred realm type then it will deflate the whole experience. I also don’t look forward to having to restart should they choose to open them later than launch.

They did say they would consider it if the demand was large enough. So of you really want it just keep saying it. Maybe they’ll hear ya.

I actually considered an RP-PvP server myself. But then a name like “Utterly” for my female tauren druid would probably be frowned upon.

I feel your pain. I felt the same way when I discovered PServers for Classic (that I wanted to play) then realized there were hardly any PvE ones (my chosen ruleset). When Nost closed it was devastating. Not being able to play on the server type you prefer is seriously game breaking.

I really hope they smarten up and give you guys at least one server per region so your community has a place to play. Its really tough because RPPVP is the least populated realm type, so you cant even merge it with any other servers if the pop gets low.

Certainly didn’t feel underpopulated to me. The community was great. Best time I had playing WoW was on RP-PvP. Definitely found a home. I just hope they include them at launch so I don’t have to uproot or reroll later. Not to mention asking all my friends to do the same. Tag on to that the possibility of there being a transfer cost…
Please, just include some at launch.
