As I always say. For anything to be an allied race, there needs to be females as well. And so far, I donāt see any. I hope blizzard will surprise us though. I really like the Ankoan.

This plus aquatic ones. EQ had Frogloks and Iksar. WoW is way behind the curve on playable fish, lizard, and amphibian races.

Some of the male voices sound a bit weird in my opinion, but itās good to hear that there are female voices.
Iām all for pretty races, but iām afraid there arenāt much āPretty Racesā to choose from in this expansion.
Besides, I think Pearlfin are quite pretty theyāre based off the koifish

Damn, yes! Iām happy enough that theyāre embracing āblademastersā among their ranks. Even as far back as the orc hero in WC3 that class was designed with a japanese samurai aesthetic, and now it seems like the ankoans will be led by just that very class (assuming Okani is in fact their racial leader).
Fish-Samurai heritage armor would be finomenal.

I gotta admit, when I first went into Pearlfin village in the Jade Forest, and saw a Jinyu guy herding a school of fish in little bubbles, I was overcome with wonder.
I also remember one of those lore-walking scrolls that described something interesting about their culture. They used water pressure to carve the intricate designs set into their stone houses. They were specifically shown ingame to not have seams, so it would give this impression to the player. It also said they worked their weaponry the same way.
Ohāand there was also a quest chain where you helped a Jinyu village in the southeast of the Kun-lai summit zone. If memory serves, a village had to evacuate and re-form somewhere else because the local leadership had gone crackers and messed with the heads of the rest of the citizens.
Iāll definitely be paying more attention to developments here, I thinkāand excellent thread!

Would definitely love to see Ankoan or jinyu added as an allied race for alliance. Iād prefer the Ankoan because theyāre customization seems to have a lot of variety. Skin colors, fins, bioluminescence, etc but Iād take either one. Alliance could honestly use a race like that.

I love how random this was among all of the serious parts and it made me laugh so much. But sadly, you cannot name your Ankoan BarracudaObama, as the character limit for player names is 12 characters.
Iād rather we get something like the Jinyu that have already been established as faction members. Enough with the new races until everything that should already be playable becomes playable.
But these guys are being established as faction members.
