I dunno if they use a type of carp as sushi, but even jynyu was alittle Japanese themed.

They already said where they where basically. They evolved from jynyu and adapted to deep seas, but where constantly hunted by Naga whom is their prime foe in nazājatar.
They could make an underwater zone for them but the playerbase might not like it.
Yeah an underwater zone for them would be neat.
I donāt really understand the dislike of the underwater zones, they whine about not having flying, and then about swimming when itās basically the same thing.
Iād like to see playable Naga as well and having a villagae in the shallows somewhere or Nazājatar flooded back and made into a hub phaseā¦would be pretty neat.

I do think it would be neat. In lore there is supposed to be big and dangerous beings in the ocean and it saddens me that we may never face them off due to the hate water zones gets.
I did like the vashir zones though and wish the water elemental dungeon was not scrapped.

Agreed. The fight again the wolf eel thing in the Eternal Palace raid was pretty neat.
Kelfin, Ankoan/Jinyu, Nagaā¦would all be cool additions. Maybe even Murloc.
I like the underwater zones as well.

I think a fix they could do is add more increased swim speed mounts in game to make the water zones more tolerable for ppl, that might fix the issue.

Thatād be pretty cool, and the aquatic races might just not need them.
I think part of the issue is some people donāt do well in 3d thinking.
I had dad playing at one point, trying to keep his mind sharp etc, and it amazed me how often he had trouble finding something because it was in a cave below him. Iām not sure if that was before the little minimap arrow showing that eitherā¦
They announced the time and where to watch the new expansion announcement.
Hoping weāll see some ARs within.
I also expect theyāll talk a little about 9.2.5. as information hasnāt come through on the ptr in large amounts.

Nothing new on Jinyu/Ankoan so far but Iām going to keep my eye out.
Iāve noticed a few old races returning in this one so there is always the possibility.
I saw that the Oracles are returning and since they have a link to murlocs as do Jinyu/Ankoan we could see something interesting going on there at least.

Been a bit too busy to make high effort posts lately. However, I do want to say that I saw a reddit post (which in turn references a 4chan post pre-reveal) that claims to have gotten 90% of the expansionās content predicted correctly. Iāll evaluate/link once Iām in front of a computer.
The interesting thing is that this leak claims weāre getting new ARs as a preorder bonus, in addition to early access to the class. But obviously the class can only be played a few weeks in advance of the expansionās launch, whereas the ARs can be accessed immediately once preorders go live.
If true, I would suspect that we might see preorders around season 4. Clearly the game isnāt even close to being ready for release just yet, which is why we canāt pay for it and lock the dev team into a tight timeline.
We can start talking about the legitimacy of that leak, and likelihood of potential allied races, now. Iāll talk about my own thoughts on that soon.

This is my thought as well. Theyāre waiting either until season 4 begins or until they can better nail down a release date.
Not sure about the legitimacyā¦ Lot of stuff going around that speaks to Darkfallen in some capacity but itās hard to be sure even now.
Iām still not sure if itās likely for an AR or customizationā¦

Yeah I saw the speculation/PTR stuff. There are a lot of interesting possibilities going around right now.
One question I keep going back and forth on is whether weāll be seeing allied race pairs or if, like the dracthyr, weāre going full-force into neutral race territory.
If the latter, that might be bad news for Jinyu/Ankoan fans. Butā¦ well, as a consolation prize at least a race like the naga is on the table.
Thereās a lot of talk about the return of āold enemiesā of the dragons. Danuser talked about it in his weird twitter interview with T&E. I feel like the signs are all but screaming about a return of void-related enemies, especially since Azshara and Xalāatath both remain at large and the Black Dragonflight is going to play a pivotal role in Dragonflightās storyline.
Void-aligned characters are almost certainly going to be part of the plotline going forward. I guess the question is, what does this mean when it comes to allied races?
My hope for playable ankoan has certainly lessened now compared to the level it was at when 8.2 was current content. However, it is still heartening to acknowledge that there is a chance for their future relevance. If the naga return as a playable race, Iād be okay with them as a consolation prize. Theyāve been around since WC3 and theyād definitely scratch the itch for an aquatic-themed civilization.
But if they return as enemies, well, weāre going to need the fish that specialize in hunting those bad boys down.
Ankoan for the Alliance, Kelfin for the Horde would make perfect sense in any storyline where naga and void-related entities go back to doing bad things.

Still wishing and wanting this.
I donāt expect Ankoan/Jinyu any time soon but I have been thinking about what I would make.
Considering a priest or a shaman. For the Jinyu it would be for a wavespeaker concept and for a Ankoanā¦ Well still kinda the same thing. Though a warrior for Ankoan sounds fun.

With 9.2.5. dropping today, I doubt weāll see Jinyu or Ankoan but who knows. Maybe weāll see em setup sometime in the future either later in DF or the next expac.

Would love to see the Ankoan and/or the Jinyu join up with the Alliance proper and serve as naval assistance.
Be neat to see them working around the docks and maybe even have a little village off the coast there.
Theyād be great just for helping to repair ships, scout waters, or serve as marines.

Iām still hoping for Ankoan/Jinyu for the Alliance and Kelfin for the Horde. I havenāt seen anything of either in the Dragonflight alpha, but if I do, Iāll be sure to help report it here.
Really hope their stories continue and that we donāt just abandon them to deal with whatever nefarious plans Azshara is up to. Preferably on that character creation screen, of course!

Jinyu/Ankoan should be ARs even if they must come together.
Theyāve effectively already joined or literally have.
Theyād be an amazing boon to the Alliance forces.
And theyād be a non human race.
So many bonuses!
