"The Alliance only gets focus because it makes sense for the story being told."

Then just hire first nations advisors or better yet creatives to come up with something.

I was hoping for someone else, no offense to Brann, he’s a great character, but there’s only so many times you can hear about Gouda!
Actually, I don’t mind that, I was just expecting something different.

American Indian people are offended by the very concept, you’re asking them to come on and make up PanIndian stories about Buffalo People who are a stand in for them? I’ve thought about this a lot, it’s never going to happen.

We have an entire novella that just released that painted the Alliance(or at least sections of the Alliance) in a negative light while turning Geya’rah into something more then the next likely villain batted orc. Not to mention we will literally be working with the goblin cartels, one of which is the playable Horde cartel.

The reason Brann is not getting replace has nothing to do with Alliance bias and likely everything to do with not wanting to spend too much resources making a new delve companion. Look, while I would prefer a new delve companion its likely Blizzard wanted to spend that dev time making something else instead of a new character that may or may not work as well as current Brann.

I’d bet money the most offended demographic are white Americans.

It is 250% inarguably alliance bias.
Alliance expansion? Alliance character.
Alliance patch? Alliance character.
Horde patch? Alliance character.

How dare you imply I’m easily offended!
goes back to applying a layer of sunscreen so I can safely go outside on a partially cloudy day

And the Alliance character is only there to tell the Horde how bad they are, because the Horde patch started with the Horde characters committing a pointless atrocity like heaving random children into a woodchipper or something.

I don’t understand why the Orcs are not interested to save Outland … This will be a story which I would follow anytime! Come on Thrall…

Because the only planet that matters is Azeroth. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Outland is not salvageable. It is basically a landmass floating through the Twisting Nether. It is a matter of when, not if, it falls apart completely.

Unless you mean like, use some kind of heretofore unknown superpower to translocate it onto Azeroth or another planet. Sounds like something Jaina could do by herself on a whim without meaningful explanation.

I’m surprised they aren’t implementing other delve partners. I got the impression the system was built with expansion in mind.

Yeah, they definitely implied Brann was just the S1 partner at launch but it seems they decided that putting effort into a thematic partner for season 2 was just too much work.

Even tho someone like Gazlowe would’ve been an easy choice to fit in with the Goblin story going on. And Gazlowe has literally quested with Horde players before in both WoD and BFA.

Not to mention that the biggest complaint about Gazlowe is lack of screentime and notability. Putting him as a delve partner would’ve been an easy way to give him both and in the process have him gain some legitimacy as the goblin leader in player’s minds… but yeah nah, lets just not.

I would personally prefer to see less of the faction leaders (they lead nations—how are they even off adventuring so much?) and more heroes/champions/adventurers.

Cut backs to keep the budget in line. All of the leaders of nations are also generals. Blizzard doesn’t have to write new characters, develop resources towards more unique models, and hire more voice actors that way.

That’s us. Since we’re nameless, faceless mooks, no unique models, no voice actors, it’s a big win-win according to accounting.

Just have Metzen voice literally everything like the olden days.

I was thinking more like Rexxar and Alleria (even though I don’t much like her) instead of Thrall, Baine, Jaina, Anduin.

Same can be said with Argus too. Floating landmass of the golden grass ruins of the Draenei City while rest of Argus is fel green wasteland.

To be fair, main characters doing everything, even when they shouldn’t, has been a staple of fiction forever. Look at how many times the officers on the Enterprise comprised the entire away team despite having a ship full of crew meant to have these jobs delegated to them.

It hasn’t been popular at all. I expect it will go the way of the Warfront.

Or

On Brann

I wish I could say this was a new thing to be outraged about, but playing Horde has been like playing the Alliance side kick since…. Legion? Mop? WotLK?

It runs as deep as this narrative

I have been ignoring Delves just because I don’t care to do them… but maybe if Kiro or Geyarah were fighting along side me instead of some Dwarf, I might enjoy it

My understanding is that M+ has lost a lot of participation because Delves offer an alternate pathway to gear that doesn’t force a player to interact with the meta chasing sweatlords with spicy diapers that make keystones an unbearable experience outside of premades.
