“Et cetera” is a Latin phrase that means “and the rest.” In English it is often abbreviated as “etc.” For your own sake, as well as for your reader, never use “ect” again.
(For the record, auto correct automatically corrected my first attempt to spell out “ect” and correctly rendered it “etc.” and I was forced to manually put the idiotic “ect” in.)
Or, if people want to use the addon rules, use the addon. It feels like the current HC community is worried people will stop using their gatekeeping rules, if they don’t have to obide by them.

Nah man, they just dont want HC to be desacrated like Classic Era is right now. And since they are the sole reason why HC is popular, it makes more sense to keep the popular version we currently have, than it is to change it.

Its not extreme; its what is required if you want to have a game that does not die because of cheating.
Cheating is a big reason for why games die so fast. Cheaters are seen by regular players as undesirable leaving the non-cheaters (the bulk of players) with only 2 options… Join them or drop the game.
Most players don’t want to cheat so they leave the game.
only when they’re hosted outside of the old Iron Curtain… Those former Soviet nations don’t play ball with “Western” law and in turn don’t need to honor it.

I’m sure if the current addon way is the popular way, people will be doing it that way. I’m sure I’ll be in the minority, and people totally won’t trade, because that’s what they want and the gatekeeping hc community’s rules weren’t a forced way of playing…
Can’t emphasize this enough. The rise of the HC-addon was built on no trading. It will fail without it.
Hope the rumor about Soul of Iron to be an opt-in way to track no trading is true.

Negative. The whole reason is so that the “don’t die” can’t be appealed. Any rule outside of “don’t die” should be each player’s choice, 100%.
