Before, you could play HC anyway you wanted, there wasnt any server which literally forced you to play acertain way, just an addon that people CHOSE to follow, you could do your own HC challenge whichever way you wanted, its self imposed.
And its true, people can still follow the addon or whatever self imposed rule they want, its just a shame that a server originating from a community dedicated to certain rules wont follow said rules. Which will result in a lot of botting and people buying their way through content which is against the whole idea of HC (which is why said rule is there in the first place lol). But hey the Classic Era playerbase loves RMT, so im not surprised you’re in favor of trading
Its a win win for both casuals and blizzard. One get the tourist golden pass through HC and the other gets loads of bot subs.

I only agree that the appealing to deaths should be unavilable. NO other rules should exists.
And the ones in the iron curtain sell gold and characters on the back channel anyways so… not really better at it than blizzard are they?

Yep this has already been beta tested via addon and the vast majority of the HC player base has determined no-trading is essential. NOT TO FORGET, Bloodsail has been there ONLY REALM to date FREE of the PLAGUE of GOLD BUYING!!!

Blizzard modifies Soul of Iron to track trading.
(Soul of Iron was on the Season of Mastery server and used to track deaths. Also 1.14.4 Devs mentioned SoI in Notes.)
Personally I think HC is a joke.
Addon users altering data to cover up deaths/“cheating”.
Keyboard turners appealing deaths that were 100% avoidable.
…but I do agree with, HC official should have one rule - death = delete.
As OP said, nothing else really matters as long as you cannot subvert this rule.

While it is nice to imagine it has no basis in reality.
Bloodsail Buccaneers has not been and is not currently immune to illicit RMT.

That’s actually the problem. Without addon mods to grant death appeals “if you buy me a pizza” I doubt the community will survive.
But people dying on HC and taking the free transfer to Era is a good thing for WoW classic overall so I say good luck and have fun, hard corporates!

So I’m not going to let you get away with saying “no” then saying something that vague. You need to tell me what iteration of WoW has come closer to being free of “the plague” (gold buying).
There isn’t one currently.
With just a bit of time HC Official won’t be either.
I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you.
Of course it isn’t. You have regular players and players using an addon that be can be cheated. I really wish they’d launch a separate server with the SSF rules alongside the normal one. Not to segregate but to see how each server develops over time. With no trading, mail and AH, and no way to cheat that, I don’t think bots would be an issue.
This isn’t going to happen though, so all we can do is speculate.
