The abolition of RDF has been a massive success

The social aspect of the game that’s beloved about vanilla, tbc, and the vast majority of original wrath was successfully preserved. These forums get absolutely flooded by retail players who think they have any sway over classic, but the silent majority reminds you that classic is a superior edition of the game because it doesn’t possess community destroying features like LFD. If LFD was in, WOTLK would have been dead on arrival. The tool you put in place works perfectly fine, I’ve gotten dungeons at low levels and heroics alike easily, which are far more social and lacks the toxicity that RDF has.

Blizzard, deleting LFD is the single best decision you have made since you ruined the game 12 years ago by adding it.

sparking up conversations with every group then?

Every anti RDF post essentially boils down to two things. That people need to be protected from themselves, and falsely claiming that people who want RDF come from retail. The first one is extremely arrogant, and the second is an outright lie.

Yeah, taking hours to start a group for a vanilla dungeon, and then get to the stone to summon the lazy people who refuse to move from their questing areas has been an amazing experience. Ty blizzard.

It accomplished absolutely nothing except for the further abandoning of lower population servers and tightening of cliques within guilds and player groups.

Not including RDF was one of THE most stupid things the World of Warcraft development team has ever done.

The game is infinitely times better without RDF. It’s been great!

Ya I am having a blast could not agree more. And I’m sure they will bring RDF with icc and by then I don’t think it would bother me.

There are no more low pop realms after the consolidation. The only NA realm below original wrath full capacity is bloodsail. Realms are way bigger than they originally were. Realms need to be broken up and reduced in size, not the other way around.

nah merge them all and let the chaos ensue

Bloodsail isn’t even the lowest population realm.

Maybe if we had RDF in the game. Even still, I’m quite enjoying Benediction as it is. I have no interest in a smaller server.

If we had RDF right now there would be tons of players here whining about how players in RDF suck, other players crying about how they get vote kicked from RDF groups, and the generic response to them all would be: “Don’t use RDF. Make your own groups.”

where is the sucess? i see less people ingame every day. And you’re lying about low level, the entire world is ded is imposible to find someone for questing and you will make only like 2 dungeons per day and the waste of time traveling make it not worth, i play on a locked server so…

please tell me when are you using RDF in retail unless you’re leveling? the whole content is in the LFG tool, the same tool we have in this wotlk version, i mean not even mythic 0 dungeons are in RDF, mythic dungeon, m+, normal raid, heroic raid, every thing is out of RDF.

Anti RDFers don’t know what they are talking about because they don’t touch retail and just repeat what other people says.

there are a lot of ways for leveling in retail and now you can level with expeditions which are very fun to know your class (it was bad as new content in bfa but for leveling is awesome tbh)
in wotlk the only way is tru SOLO questing, dungeon with lack of people and tanks and boost from shop $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

the only sucess is the money that came from boost $$$.

Agreed! It’s not always instant to get a dungeon, but it doesn’t have to be instant to be fine. The combination of the current LFD and dual spec has transformed the Wrath experience for me, and for the better.

You are either the one actually lying or are just lazy. On thunderfury during phase 2 of tbc when it was medium pop and bleeding, I still got dungeon groups on my low level alt and occasionally ran into someone else genuinely leveling. On my lower pop server the secret was to whisper around the other lobies on /who. The levelers who were not boosting tended to be pretty happy to jump into a real dungeon run.

Was I always able to get an immediate group? No
Was I generally able to get a group? Yes

I typically added those people to my friends list and networked the people who were legitimately leveling out in the world and got dungeon groups when I needed them.

On servers now, there isn’t even a problem whatsoever. Boosting is dead, and the servers are a lot more massive than they were in original wrath. There are no dead servers after consolidation. You just don’t want to take initiative, make your own groups, and network. That doesn’t make the game dead, that makes you anti-social.

Retail players have an instant gratification mindset and consider anything below 20k “dead”. This mindset doesn’t work in a classic mmo, sorry.

Doubt theres that many people leveling on locked servers, i mean, only the existing population can create level 1 characters and chances are 95% of the server already has one or two alts, so yeah old world is dead on these servers

Not true. Plenty of people who make new level 1 characters and level up alts for fun.
