That’s not true. A person with a bunch of M+15 gear can probably carry me in M+2

For every buyer there is a carrier, and a lot of the carriers are indeed breaking the rules.

You don’t get the carries on the same character as you carry them with. You get your best character to make a helping my friend group for their baby alts and they use their best character to do the same to you.

Everyone wins. The people who join farm their vault. I do 3x the dps of a normal dps in a 15, more than make up for my friend. People feel good because they help somebody. My friend gets a bunch of 304 pieces and so do I.

How does it ruin the game? Look, I have never bought a run, but I don’t care if others do. My satisfaction lies in accomplishing something myself.

Buying a run is just like using a cheat-code on a console game. It’s a shortcut. And shortcuts always wreck how it feels to achieve something. You maybe get a blip of a high when you get a mount or gear by buying a run, but then it’s over. It’s just another thing you bought; no different than a store mount.

Contrast that to a mount or pet or some gear you worked and worked to get. THAT little item will forever bring you satisfaction. Look: Every time I call up my Magical Crawdad pet I feel happy. I fished SO MUCH to get him in BC. I did it! Me! I kind of suck at WoW but I worked to get my crawdad and I love him.

Most of one’s good memories in WoW tend to be fun times with players, but the good memories of accomplishments HAVE to be earned.

Buying a run doesn’t cheat other players. Buying a run only costs the person buying a run.

Ehh wouldnt say it really ruins the game. Theres plenty more things that ruin the gane more soo then people buying runs.

False. The people who need the carries don’t have a super geared main like you are imagining 100% of players do. If that was the case, they would already be doing carries. That’s why there are customers.

That’s okay, they’ll just push with the M+ friend they made and then they’ll get a super geared main. You only have to do 15s to get the most gear you could ever need. You don’t even have to time them. In a season when people have completed m+36, I don’t think it’s out of reach for most players.

You sound like you are under the impression that there are lots of really good and well-geared players out there who have no friends to run mythic+ with because no noob asked them.

I don’t think basing expectations of what a starting player’s potential should be on what the .001% have done is reasonable.

Someone is not always good or always bad. They become good by playing with a friend who can help them pinpoint their weaknesses, in exchange for helping that friend overcome theirs.

Paying ingame currency in return for a service has always been allowed, yet hasn’t been as intrusive as it is now for various reasons, like cross-realm, how easy it is to level, how seasonal the game has become, ect.

I’m mixed on the issue, truthfully. I think people should be allowed to waste their money on 15s and raid carries, why not? Doesn’t impact me.

On the other hand, it’s really getting spammy and out of hand - Blizzard has been very lax on punishing many things, like bots and gold farmers. While not as bad, it often gets a bit obvious when RMT is happening.

Sure. The game is designed with a long, boring grind to encourage players to buy carries to get past months of grinding. It’s also designed with high expenses for end game players, to encourage them to sell carries. The auction house is designed to funnel profits to self-styled wheeler dealers instead of average players who don’t constantly flip and cancel scan. Highly desirable items are placed behind instances that players with excess gold might want to pay carries for. And it’s all part of a system that has a solution that can be purchased in the cash shop.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that Blizzard is making scads of money based on how they designed the economy.

The games grinds have gotten shorter since the token came out.

I’ve been doing 15s or higher. I pug into groups cuz I don’t have a guild (anyone need a 299 survival hunter on Daggerspine-US?). Some of the runs go really smooth, and everybody does the mechanics and interrupts. Others are just a fluster cluck.

I’m not the constant if that’s what you’re implying. I don’t run with every single group that decides to hop into a key.

The best advice I can offer to pugs is this: get DBM (Deadly Boss Mod–it helps a LOT (though you do have to keep updating it)) and watch players (yes, even boosters) run the dungeons on YouTube or Twitch. If you really need to learn in-game: join a guild or ask a booster group to coach you (they’re offering that service now too).

If you didnt play the Tier 0.5 quests especially back then, you shut up becoz you dont know what youre talking about.

You never heard of stance dancing? Coz youve never played a Warrior or a tank, tanking on a 2h sword.

Questing isnt hard in any scenario unless you are just bad at the game. At this point you being boosted is looking 100%.

You think Stance Dancing is hard? I have done it on DK and Warrior at 2k/2200 arena rating.
