They should just do an NPC buddy in all of this content like in Naz’jatar. Though traditionally they’ve been way too weak aside from Meatball.
You’re either absolutely clueless or trolling. Either way just stop posting.
Eh, if you play frost, getting hit at all is a skill issue.
Same if you’re Arcane. You can spec into Slow or just use the many gap openers or roots in your kit and you’re generally fine.
True. To keep the level of active defense and mobility balanced, mages have to be squishy if they don’t use either.
Kiting gets exhausting if you’re constantly having to do it. It’s novel when you take down a rare you’re undergeared for by yourself, the first time, and then not having to do it any more after you solve your gear situation. When I’m collecting 100 bear butts for a quest I should be allowed to face tank it in a man dress.
If you don’t want to kite then playing a mage isn’t for you.
The class fantasy of Mage is for me. D3 wizard has the same fantasy but it doesn’t get gibbed if it stands next to a mob for a second. Maybe Mage kited at some point in Classic during the leveling process, but back in those days Ret and such had to pay the hybrid tax so Mage got comparatively massive damage in return for all that kiting.
With the amount of gear OP has, he should only need to kite elites/group rares in the world, and kill anything else before it breaks his mage shield.
If OP is having to kite normal world mobs (even on a mage), in 390-400 ilvl, there are some serious rotational issues happening.
Class fantasy and class mechanics are different things. I love the class fantasy of a DK but I’ve shelved mine due to mechanics.
So, like I was saying, if you don’t want to kite then playing a mage was never for you. Kiting has always been part of a mage.
^just to clarify, I don’t mean you should have to kite a couple normal open world mobs in this day and age.
Ok well I don’t think Jaina or Khadgar would be big heroes if they exploded the moment they stood next to an angry kobold.
They’re important NPC’s, we’re players.
Indeed.
Mage has to do 6d chess just to survive an encounter while my BM Hunter, Destruction Warlock, and Tanks do it faster and way easier without the threat of being swarmed to death.
There’s no way you aren’t trolling. No way can you be so bad that you’re calling open world content on a mage 6d chess. looooool
60% of the player base has raid achievements. Feel free to educate yourself.
you cant know that without working at blizzard.
looks at people farming transmog and mounts from decade old raids
See guys, casuals are all raiders!
There isn’t perfect overlap, but there is a considerable amount more overlap than the forums would have you believe.
Yes you can.
Armory and multiple other sites track achievements.
In 9.2 over 60% had raid boss achievements in Sepulcher which was the current tier.
That’s not transmog farming.
