That silly smirk Sylvannas has

To be fair it was the lamest Lich King.

For reference

She states that his power had grown ten fold

We should also remember that she had actually subdued him in WC3

Hiding in the shadows, she struck him with an arrow she had crafted — a venomous sting that would paralyze him. Arthas was furious at her betrayal and demanded that she finish him. But Sylvanas refused to show him the mercy of a quick death and intended to make him suffer — as he had made her suffer in undeath. She was about to begin her grisly work when Kel’Thuzad arrived and intervened, killing her banshees and chasing her off.[32]

Ah, I loved how she used the paralyzing arrow on Arthas at the end of the dungeon, but this time it only stopped him for mere moments.

That was an awesome touch on Blizzard’s part to show how powerful the Lich King had become, and you are completely correct. In the Halls of Reflection, Arthas was much stronger than when she encountered him in back during war 3.

Still, I do think if they wanted to make Sylvannas’ power increase so much, they should have made it happen over time, or atleast show us how it happened.

The whole “wait for it guys” feels like a bad writer trying to explain his nonsense as the story goes, instead of having a clear path to follow from the start.

Halls of reflection was great. Hopefully, we will get to learn more in 8.3 and in the new expac.

Very keen to see where it goes

Why would you be excited for another tensionless fight where she wins, just like every other fight with her now?

They’re integral lore characters, so it makes sense that they aren’t going to die every time they’re put in a bad situation. The difference is there isn’t an insane amount of undue focus on those three characters. The World of Warcraft literally revolves around a single character at this point which is just stupid and annoying.

I hate her new voice actor. So nasally. Like someone doing a really bad Barbara Streisand on downers impression.

Bros, it’s over. The Sylvanas fans have won. We can never recover from this. It’s time to pack it up and go home.

No offense but you need to work on understanding word meanings before you use them.

Pedantic is being “overly critical or too formal”… Which would make sense for what I’m doing now.

About us saying he’s using “mary sue” like he doesn’t know what it means is not pedantic… It’s calling out that he’s using that word incorrect.

Sylvanas is the opposite of a Mary Sue.

Pedantic is not saying “you’re using that word wrong” its more like telling someone “Technically it’s not free range chicken because they still are confined to a pen”

Shadow Hunter/Rogue archetype character dodges literal mountain thrown at her.

People who don’t like Sylvanas: >:c wow she’s so op

You counter my statement that you’re being pedantic by… Being pedantic. People never disappoint.

She was the main character for 3 expansions in which the slowly showed her story and her power growth. You don’t even know what you’re talking about. Since cataclysm we saw Sylvanas getting stronger.
In BFA, we had a quest with voljin telling us that there is power beyond this world told voljin to name Sylvanas war chief.
In bfa Cinematics we saw her powers.
It was all slowly indroduxing us to Jailer.
Sylvanas is literally the best character in wow , driven by desire for power ans her own goals.

wt f are you talking about? Is Sylvanas not an integral lore character somehow?

We had a whole zone and a dungeon just about Malfurion and Tyrande in Legion.

We had cinematics of Malfurion tearing up Horde soldiers and Tyrande making her ritual of the Black Moon. We had about as much Tyrande as we did Anduin and a lot more than any of the other Alliance leaders.

The World of Warcraft revolved around Arthas in Wrath. The World of Warcraft has revolved around Gul’dan several times, and Garrosh what, twice? This xpac has been all about the Old Gods. It’s the nature of the game’s story to be all about whoever the BBEG is.

I literally never said that.

A zone and a dungeon, not an entire expansion.

Yes, a single cinematic, and then they went back to doing their own thing. Stories did not continually needlessly involve them every chance they got. Other characters got their chance to shine as well.

A single expansion, where he was the main villain.

Lmao it never had the level of focus on Gul’dan that it does on Sylvanas. Not even Garrosh got that much attention and even then it doesn’t make that okay or good storytelling either.

GODS. Plural. As in not having the entirety of Azeroth move based on the whims of a single overpowered character.
