Can Blizzard at least stop giving her that stupid “look how cool I am” smirk on every single cinematic before she Mary Sue dodges some potential fatal attack?

She clearly has been empowered by another force. All throughout Legion didn’t care about the invasion and chased her own ambitions. I think most players are upset because the “force” hasn’t been devulged yet in story making her actions seem comical.

It’s more that her powers are so arbitrary and that the excuse is, she’s has been empowered by an other worldly god like being completely off screen.
So she’s powered by death… so that means she is all knowing, throws fatal shadow balls, has telekinetic powers, super strength, and materialize chains from arrows. Toppled with her ‘normal’ lightning reflexes and fade/flying abilities, just makes it seem she can do anything and everything. She’s like Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, except there was no build up, tension and suspense to her gaining these powers. She just got them at some undefined time.

You realize every banshee can do half the stuff she does?
It really blows my mind how people assumed she was just a regular undead elf. She has always been a banshee, so death magic and all the ghost/fade like abilities should be no surprise. She also was the ranger general for a hell of a long time, so no one should be surprised that she has quick reflexes. You dont exactly get to be ranger general because your a regular dude.
Yes she has been empowered which explains a lot when it comes to the sudden powerbursts, and i get that people dont like her. But use your heads, half of her skill set is just what banshees.

Well, most banshees just float around like ghosts… but yes, that’s why I put the lightning reflexes and fading as her ‘normal powers,’ because that is what can be expected.
Everything else she has done is from some undefined power she received, which is a problem with story telling. I’m sure there will be some explanation in a year when the expansion launches, but as of right now we are left not knowing, and ultimately, not caring.
Using the Thanos and Infinity Gauntlet example, the audience and characters in the story had Gamora explaining Thanos’ goal and even before that, what the Infinity Stones could do. Right now Sylvanas is Thanos with little to no exposition.

And Thanos had a backstory of 1000s of years of being a brutal warlord and one of the most powerful beings in that universe. Sylvanas went from a shotgun lobotomy to lolstomping the Lich King. I am looking forward to something wiping the grin off her face.

Part of the problem is that her increase in power happened entirely off-screen. She gets knocked around by Genn in Legion, nearly dies to Malfurion at the start of BfA and then she’s suddenly parrying blows from Varok Saurfang like he’s a child and then she dances around Bolvar like he’s never held a weapon before.
Not to mention how inconsistently she’s been written if she really has been working with the Jailer since the end of WotLK.
