you chose to play on your server. it has queues. you are not any more deserving of playing than a horde that got into queue before you did.
Only someone with a complete lack of perspective could make this assertion. And weāve already gleaned that you donāt have a classic character anywhere near level 60, so you donāt understand the problem people are even talking about.
To resolve that, add in-game XP for forum posts complaining of faction imbalance (only available to use on Alliance characters).
if you want a queueless experience then reroll on a lower pop server. but the reason you donāt is because of the opportunities your server gives you. and guess what. theyāre still there even if you have to wait a little bit to play.
Nice example of ad-hominem.
The reason I donāt is because Horde is allowed to transfer off but Alliance is not allowed to transfer off. YOU WOULDNāT KNOW THAT THOUGH.
i have leveled a toon in vanilla to cap more than once. but apparently my 20 retail 120s that have dealt with wpvp and queues isnāt a factor because iām a lowbie in classic. lol
Lol said server had over 10k people online at once.
that is FAR more than what is on blizzards servers at any one given time.
From my understanding, there was no sharding or phasing on that server eitherā¦
Dont see how āthis is a better jobā than blizz.
My three criticisms of blizz in rolling classic:
1 - Servers should have been capped at 2.5k people. They were not. Why? because there were lots of VERY vocal people calling for 5k - 10k servers on the forums
2 - AV should have been in its earlier iteration
3 - 1.12 is not my favourite patch. By this stage, mob/boss damage had been reduced and power creep had built up player damage
It doesnāt matter. You are more than capable of reading the information being presented on the forums, and forming an opinion.
We could just as easily claim that Zinqfās opinion is invalid, because heās too close to it, and has an Alliance-favoring bias. Actually, that could make for a stronger argument.
he does have an alliance bias which iāve been trying to tell him doesnāt give him the right to queue dodge and make horde wait. the thing about the queue is that itās fair. anyone who tries to log in whether theyāre a level 60 rank whatever vs a level 1 bank alt has the same time to get in depending on when they came into queue.
Maybe but theyād need like 200-400 servers to do that and so many bandwagoned servers would have queues of 60 to 80 thousand.
Retail players with level 20 Classic characters interpreting information and experiences of max level characters in Classic. The levels of cringe are off the charts.
Itās only fair to the Majority Faction. Even with Faction queues there will still be many more people from the majority faction online in a server. Arguing for Faction queues evens the factions.
I will also add, and applaude blizzard in thier early notification telling players that there will be massive queues if you choose to create a character on said server.
Blizzard is not there to protect players from themselves and their actions.
Dont like PVP? roll on PVE.
Dont like the massive population, create a character on a lower pop server.
actually nevermind. lol
The levels of cringe are off the charts.
No less so than any one individualās own perspective. I mean, please donāt get me wrong, Iām not trying to say that you do not feel overwhelmed on Herod. If you feel that way, then I believe it.
I donāt think anybody is actually arguing against any of that. What people are saying though is that some of the solutions that get proposed (such as your faction biased queues) seem to resolve an individualās own problem much more than an entire server or all of WoW Classicās problems.
One major thing worthy of consideration is that almost all of the things being claimed as problems really do not exist on PVE servers, hence the āReroll PVEā (almost) meme (at this point).
When BGs drop, Dec 10th, I imagine that the queue times for logging into Herod will be pretty severe (as we were amply warned, again and again, prior to the launch of Classic, that they would be). Will that exacerbate queue times for BGs?
Will instanced PvP a la BGs, reduce the queues on these servers, and will some of these problems that some people are claiming go away?
Weāll find out pretty soon!
instead of attacking my argument heās attacking my character. literally. lol
I disagree I donāt view it as imposing, it is simply leveling the playing field in my opinion.
Iām not trying to say that you do not feel overwhelmed on Herod.
The overwhelming thing in Herod is the amount of Majority faction members taking up queue spots.
Hereās what you think the queues look like
10,000 Alliance online; 10,000 Horde online
2,000 Alliance in Queue (20%): 2,000 Horde in queue (20%)
Hereās what it actually looks like
6,000 Alliance online; 14,000 Horde online
2,000 Alliance in Queue (25%); 2,000 Horde in queue (12.5%)
^ Equal amounts of faction in queue when unequal amounts of faction are in-game is actually unequal. Who woulda thought.
Itās clear that the lot of you (Alliance or Horde) cannot handle the āPvPā ruleset of Gankfest Servers. Youāve never been able to turn off the āPvPā ruleset just so you can level or walk to BRD. It doesnāt work that way.
If you want to be able to control when you get ganked, that is what a PvE Server is for.
Yes, it sucks to re-roll, but this is the reality of the situation. And thereās nothing wrong with playing on a PvE Server.
At the very least, bring back paid transfers thatās not bias to either side.
So, for my person opinion, I donāt care. It doesnāt affect me either way. I did reserve an amazing name on Herod, but I donāt actually play there anyway.
Also, if they did make that type of faction queue, it would be in my favor on Fairbanks, soā¦ take that with a grain of salt.
Anyway, I donāt really think that I care at all about server faction balance. I donāt personally think it is an issue. It certainly isnāt enough of an issue for people to do anything about it (except for me, as Iāve contributed by abandoning the Horde, that I have played mostly exclusively since Vanilla, for Alliance - the upside is I get to be a Paladin).
On the other hand, I also donāt really care if Blizzard did implement that type of a queue system. I just want to play and enjoy the gameā¦ fortunately, like everybody else, I have access to all the servers and all the factions. OF COURSE, I understand how much time and effort goes into leveling and gearing up a character, as well as building relationships, and community. And likewise how big of a deal it can be and is to reroll on another server.
Now, you have given some numbers:
Hereās what you think the queues look like
10,000 Alliance online; 10,000 Horde online
2,000 Alliance in Queue (20%): 2,000 Horde in queue (20%)Hereās what it actually looks like
6,000 Alliance online; 14,000 Horde online
2,000 Alliance in Queue (25%); 2,000 Horde in queue (12.5%)
Where are you getting these from?
