Cleared Twisting Corridors Layer 8 on my Shammy, Earth Ele is definitely a bro there. 1 minute CD + perma-Earthquake is fantastic.
However, I get his point to a degree.

I am capped on soul ash.
Honestly, it rocked. Best Torghast special power yet, by far for me. If you keep upgrading the powers, you wreck things as you go through. Things that make torghast faster and have a bit of risk reward are great. And with this one, the damage was immense, so it was satisfying.
Tseric was right lol
Wait are we talking about torghast? People still do that?
Amazing you could do this in a setting that is not up this week, especially being the first week they have offered it.
And you did 3 floors and quit that’s sad you only really had 2 left to finish for your soul ash.
I’ve had not the wherewithal to set foot in Torghast for some weeks now, or the Maw save to wrangle wayward souls.
If Hell be what after yon zones were designed, methinks thy colleagues quaffed too deeply that chalice of inspiration.
100% /10char
And Kaivax, haven’t done Torghast in a long time, seems like an interesting yet irritating thing and possibly enjoyed more by people who aren’t just doing it for Soul Ash.
I’ll give it a shot maybe later this week.
I love it and wish it was a bit shorter than 1.5 min CD, also be accessible in the twisted corridor.
maybe like, an affliction warlock who just fully extended a giant row of empowered dots could use it to boost his dot damage?
especially since he could still channel Malefic Rapture
You say that, but I used it on my Torghast runs yesterday.
It’s a good time. Massive dps increase. Having your screen blacked out, when you can still see nameplates, isn’t as much of a disadvantage as it sounds.
I wish I could use this in twisting corridors, this is actually fun to use
I obliterated floor bosses and the layer 8 final boss with it just fine.
So does this Flask make you blind? But also sprint?
I’ve never used it. It seems kind of bad if you can’t see where you’re going
Then you don’t need to backpedal, which makes the no backpedalling power a freebie.
During my 2 Torghast runs this week, I had one that the flask was horrible and another where it was a great time.
I picked the “every 5 kills go into dark mode” on the horrible run, I would not recommend that to anyone.
Having it as a cooldown was a good time though.
I don’t know what to think of it.
That post looks like the result of an argument of their last webex meeting.
Kaivax : “this power is crap”
Dev team: “you think you do but you don’t”
Kaivax : “I’m gonna prove my point on the forum”.
My fun story is that it doesn’t always activate. Screen doesn’t go dark and it doesn’t provide the buff. I just wasted a Torghast run because of it.
Love it honestly, it can solo a run with 0 other powers.
It was fun but after two really bad torghast events people are wary. And there is no loot, so no reason to run torghast. I just do regular solo runs as a brewmaster and call it a day these events are sadly not where development resources should go
