That delve balance hot fix was a joke right?

I was clearing 8s in 582 solo. Was pretty rough but doable.

What class you did this on? Definitely not evoker

Warlock, using affliction. And a voidwalker…aka no interrupts. Bran as DPS.

Affliction lock here with Voidy, and T8 was fine until it wasnt. Slow pulls and taking my time i could solo but…after a certain point i was just getting 1-shotted almost at random… i gave up after over an hour… a few days ago the same T8 was not super easy but wasnt so hard its a literal drag to make it through.

Playing as warlock, the only thing that gets particularly scary in T8 is when either your pet or brann decides to bring friends into the pull that you weren’t expecting or planning on.

It’s definitely class dependent which is something Blizzard needs to address.

As an Unholy DK I’ve been able to clear tier 8s at ~560. That feels wrong to me, I don’t think I should be able to clear them while soo far below the recommended but as an Unholy DK I just have soo many tools at my disposal.

There are undoubtedly specs that conversely will struggle to clear them while at or over the recommended ilvl.

It will take a bit of work, but bringing all of the specs into at least a somewhat balanced state should be on Blizzard’s agenda. You can’t just blanket nerf the content - I want to face a challenge on the spec I enjoy, I don’t want to be steamrolling tier 11 Delves because they got nerfed to the point Shadow priests can compete.

If Blizzard can tune them based on spec, that would probably be ideal.

This is why I was happy for Delves cause it tries to cater to the more chill players rather than those players. Thought it was mostly supposed to be fairly relaxed content but they have a hard time understanding what that is I guess. Or I guess letting the more casual/midcore players have anything nice over time. Midcore is all for a challenge but I think the ramp up is a bit too much of a ramp atm for what it might be tuned for.

It’s fine if there’s a challenge, but not when you have 3 threadmancers on different sections of the room all beaming you with 1m web bolts and you have only so many ways to heal through it (and mitigate it). Not to mention Brann is not always tossing out those heals. I mean that’s 25% of my hp a hit and spell reflect is on a 30 sec cd, and I’m not popping off dps wise like a Heroic raider parsing at 99% lol.

But hey maybe I’m wrong and 600+ loot up to 610 with tier and an embellishment or two might help a lot in farming these for rewards and the season journey. I’m again all for a challenge but parts of this are bonkers in regards to tuning. Another part of this could be badly needed improvements to classes and their hero talents as well.

Heroic raid drops level 610 gear, on the hero track of upgrades. Nothing is 610 from delves or on the hero track until you get the rare chest from the rare drop item, and vault. Neither are actually part of the delve really

My 584 Aff Loc is doing fine in 7’s 8’s are a bit tough but when i rais my lvl it should be fine

I just don’t understand why I have to be hit for 2 million by a melee attack from a random mob that isn’t even elite. What is the reasoning for this, when most of the mobs hit for 100-200k? The balancing is so bad that I cannot believe it’s still like this weeks after release.

ngl it feels like most of the people who complain about the delves fix and it being oh so hard are people who cruised through t8+ in a group when the scaling was broken, so exploiters upset their exploit got fixed. Solo delves were untouched.

This said, there are many issues with the delve scaling and balance, reliance on having several interrupts on hand, mobility, ridiculous damage scaling for tank specs, a lot of things that make playing certain classes/specs either unpleasant or much harder than others.

Yeah, the main issue i have with Delves currently is that their spell damage is massive. As a Veng tank, with both immolation and spikes up, a single web bolt from a neurbian non elite mob does 20% of my hp. This is fine if theres one of them, as i have 2 interrupts and a stun, and brann has his interrupt. Even with two i can (sometimes) Imprison one, though Brann loves hitting my imprison’d enemies.

But sometimes the game spawns 3 of them in the same pack directly on top of each other. Even with Imprison theres just too many of them.

And I’m not severely undergeared - i am at 595. Only 5 levels below recommended.

Tank specs make the mobs do like 3x more damage. It’s pretty silly but then tanks are designed for sustain so having the mobs hit the same as they do dps specs would make it entirely trivial for tanks.
It needs much more tuning and maybe Blizzard should consider creating a QA department that would like, test things before release. I know, wild take.

Caster in Earthcrawler on t7 is hitting me 700k damage and can shoot through pillars and the around corners. Can’t LOS it. Interrupt it and it just starts the cast again.

It will not focus my pet even if I allow it to hit first and give it time to build. The mob instantly targets me regardless of threat. And they seem to have triple the HP of most of the melee mobs.

Delves are just a joke in general. The weekly cap of 4 keys is very annoying if you used them by accident. Delves in general are mad boring now they are even worse. I rather just go back to torghast than this. Why even do M0 when delves give you higher il gear end of run and vault. They put me to sleep before the bullet sponge buff/nerf they got now i just want to uninstall…

delves are the best gear you can get quickly outside of raids with no mythic + out you should be doing all your keys till your run out they are normal raid gear and 8 t8 delves will give you one heroic piece of gear in your great vault that is 516 it is also possible with some luck to get 510 ilv heroic gear from delves

It’s 4 per day. With a chance in each to get a map to get free hero-tier gear on your next run. The trinkets are the loot pool of world quest ones and thus aren’t amazing. The other gear’s stats are so wild and all over the place, that you will not be able to effectively target gear.

And because a number of specs currently get more gain out of secondary stats than their main stats point-for-point, the ilvl in the delves doesn’t matter for half of us. And keys invalidate all of this come Tuesday.

I won’t disagree that they aren’t in a good spot, but at least be correct about the complaint.

Right but you can farm crests to make crafted up to 626 so why waste your time there. M+ drops Heroic loot on demand and gives Mythic gear in the vault. Sure you might want some 616 vault slots to hopefully fill a slot if you haven’t replaced it yet, but again M+ drops it on demand and you can run endless M+ each week.
