Seems to work fine if you use the soulshape ability THEN click the fox.
(and if you clicked the fox on the last part, as others have said, you can click the buff off to make the fox clickable again, just make sure you use the soulshape ability before clicking fox the next time)

I went in as a hunter and after killing Isengrimm, I had to use my flare to find the fox, on catching it, I was taken to Bastion, where I had to catch him again, no problem. The quest was glitchy in Ardenweald and I had to restart several times because he kept disappearing.
Still bugged in 2021. I finally got to Maldraxxus and got stuck trying to click him. Logged out in the room you fought the boss and logged back in and magically he was in my hands finally finishing the quest. I guess just close your eyes and pray for the best with this one.
Nope. I got rid of the buff in Maldraxxus, just made the fox disappear too.
Still bugged. Blizz get it together
Just go outside kill a couple of mins n go back it is now reset n be prepared u have a very short window to catch Remy after his attacker is dead
