Thanks to the level boost, I'll be playing TBC Classic

Hold up a second, the original post was flagged as trolling? What on earth are you guys for real?

I decided to level a toon from when i posted this.

Can safely say was a very unenjoyable experience. Thank god for the boost coming.

I am genuinely happy for you.

I am pro-boost and I am happy with anything that is going to increase the playerbase of the classic project! That is a win for ALL of classic - regardless of the expansion.

However, I still highly advocate that, in addition to the current progressive servers, there are fresh TBC classic servers that do not offer a boost or cash shop immediately when they are released. I feel like this satisfies all sides - even if it is merely 1 pve/pvp server per region.

This seems like a no brainer, I’m not sure why Blizzard didn’t do this.

How dare you demonstrate your prerogative to play Classic TBC the way you want to play it and not the gatekeeper way others demand you do.

Meh. Level though the nerfed 1-60, imo. The level boost wasnt made for people like you, it was made to profit off of TBC.

They played tbc when it was retail. So did I.

I am looking forward to boosts, and all the classic andy boomers can go cry more about it

People just don’t want to spend weeks leveling to do relevant content.

Removing that and making it like people are just doing expansion leveling is amazing.

The addition of boost is simple math really.

More people are going to play TBC now because of the boost then people that quit because of it.

I already have a level 60 Hunter. I just want the boost so i can have a level 60 Rouge.

Don’t want to =/= can’t.

Unless you’re a vanilla snob who has been wearing their unwashed for the Horde t-shirt to every function in and out of the house for 15 years.

Ps. I don’t play retail rn I just am tired of the snobs.

Still have not seen any confirmation if the boost is limited to per Bnet or Account. Does anyone have clarification to this question?

they used the word “account” in introducing it, but other than that we really don’t know.

Welcome to grinding in a MMO. Things should be earned. That said, I’m going to use the boost on a Hunter so :man_shrugging:.

how to say “im a hypocrite” in more words

You should replace that “we” with “I” as you do not represent the viewpoints of other blizzard users.

For example, while I won’t be using the boosting myself, however:

I will be happy to have the additional players who want to play that otherwise might not who do not have any desire to level in the old classic zones.

I will be happy that the gold sellers and BOTs will have fewer people paying for their services. Since people will no longer be utilizing them at least to boost to level 58.

I will be happy that the boost is expensive, and requires the use of a CC as it does in retail, which will reduce and essentially eliminate bot users from using the boost. (Bots do not use CC’s as it makes it ridiculously easy to link accounts) They rely on low cost subscriptions that they pay for by use of monthly cards or tokens, which are far below the subscription rates, as a they do get banned regularly.

I am glad they didn’t put in recruit a friend which was a boosters wet dream, since that actively increased the number of bot accounts.

I am glad I will get to play TBC and even though there are some cash store options that blizzard sells that I won’t be purchasing, all of them are cosmetic or only impact low level characters prior to the current expansion so have no real impact on the actual end game, which I consider to be level 70 content and where the game actually really starts in TBC.

I do wish that blizzard could get rid of the bots and gold sellers but I now that the boost service really won’t change that scene at all.

I will play the game my way, if someone else wants to play the game some other way, I am not going to let it effect me. I am not going to be upset that someone has achieved something I haven’t or has something I don’t have.

This is quite literally the most out-of-touch, ignorant, blind sheepish statement regarding the level boost and its all over the place.

Almost every one of these people…
:ballot_box_with_check: have already done the vanilla grind to 60 and in most cases…multiple 60s.
:ballot_box_with_check: Don’t like Vanilla overall.
:ballot_box_with_check: Like BC.
:ballot_box_with_check: Like the BC grind
:ballot_box_with_check: Like the BC quests and the way that quest hubs actually exist
:ballot_box_with_check: Enjoy the classes and how all specs are fun to play at 58+
:ballot_box_with_check: Enjoy the grinds for reputation and dungeons and raids in TBC.
:ballot_box_with_check: Like the PvP in TBC.

I swear, when WotLK comes along eventually, people are gonna be so vitriolic to people jumping back into the game.

Yep, I checked off all those items for myself as well. But face it, this is not a discussion anymore, each group has dug in, built their trenches and drawn the battle line. All they want to do now is lob grenades at each other endlessly thread after thread.

No matter the points or counter-points this whole discussion has digressed into who can lob the biggest insult or witty comeback.

Those who hate the boost at this stage will hate it forever their minds are set and will not change.

No, more players with the mindset like you will not make the TBC Classic Experience better.

Stop boasting your achievements that you did over 10 years ago to justify skipping content within the Classic version of the current game.

You are forgetting many of the current Classic player base played Vanilla / TBC / and or Wrath back in the day too, and committed to EARNING their achievements again in Classic, like it was intended to be. You have no right to boast a single thing if you cannot manage to actually PLAY the game in it’s entirety, which includes the Base game.

Since you like to remember and tout your achievements from back in the day, do recall that TBC was and is an EXPANSION, not a separate game.
