This objective keeps tracking. It’s unclear if I completed it or not, as it just shows the title under the tracking. I am now 80 and want it to go away.

Same, every time I get near Gundargaz, “Thanks for the Wax” pops onto my quest list. As soon as I leave the sub-zone if drops off.

yep similar it just plagues me. abandoned everything cleared folders, go back to ringing depths and pop hello there thanks for the wax is back.
Coming back to say that after carefully examining all the non-vendorable junk in my bags (a right proper mess in there), I found that Strange Lump of Wax (the quest item that starts all this nonsense) was not auto-deleting on completion of the quest. Manually deleting it from my bag resolved this issue for me.

Also, if you are unsure weather you have completed the quest you can just right click on the item prior to deleting it. In your chat box will be a message stating weather it has been completed or not.
Same most likely will be fixed eventually just ignore it like I have

This is the fix. Delete the item and relog and it won’t come back.

Having the same issue. Don’t seem to have the strange lump of wax anywhere in my bags or bank…
