Thanks For Not Caring About Holidays. Again

That assumes they investigate any further than a single post, which hint: in most cases they do not.

Wrong but

Lmao the irony

To be fair, not everyone plays to fill up their collection tab.

To be Fair. You can’t say there’s anything to do when there are resources that show you that there is indeed things to do.

I don’t know. Honestly, I was expecting something to do with Dragons lol

I don’t think reading something is really paying that much attention honestly. I think you’re just mad ya got caught

To be honest they really never upgrade the anniversary event till a milestone really. As for the other holidays eh I’m sure they’ll update it for next year like they always do.

That’s like if I playing strictly to raid and I’ve cleared the current raid at mythic and then you tell me I haven’t finished everything because I still have MoP dungeon achievements to get. We all do different things.

Everyone keeps saying 18 isn’t special when really WoW is older than many of its players and it’s not gone yet. They’re still trying and still putting out the expansions. Eighteen years for an MMO to have the success WoW has? No one comes close. Not in both years AND success. Every year after ten is “special” imo

The WoW Anniversary?

The same WoE Anniversary that ALWAYS does an XP boost equal to the current year celebrated? And then does a small one or two off nod to something in WoW’s history?

Because I mean…that’s what we got, no more, now less. BUT we DID get it bumped up and overlapping a sweet XP buff to enable some leveling that felt as fun and social as the olden days.

So…what ARE you complaining abou

Imagine thinking an xp buff is a good reward lol. Not as if people have tons of toons already.

I would forgive the anniversary not doing anything if the launch of dragon flight is smooth and reasonably bug free.

But only time will tell if those things turn out to be true. So far I’m still dealing with a mess of collapsable spells not working

“No one comes close” isn’t technically true. Final Fantasy 11 is older than WoW and still active AND in parallel HEAVILY influenced the follow up MMO that was the first MMO to ever dethrone WoW’s #1 seat, of only for a month, before the Blizz allegations came to fruition.

In fact, WoW design philosophy pivot that has everyone engaging and buzzing came in the patch that immediately followed the event, and we’re seeing M+ design philosophy gravitating towards FF14s content philosophy!

That’s not to say 18 isn’t special, just that “doesn’t come close” isn’t accurate. That said, the ONLY real rival WoW has had is STILL a titan and the ONLY company to successfully pull off TWO living MMOs, in parallel, and without cannibalizing.

So while the claim is not true, it also isn’t like the other success story isn’t legendary. And when you’re comparing a legend TO another legend, I think it makes WoW all the more impressive.

Especially when you consider WoW has come so far despite the 2004 scaffolding they call code xD

Or a Doomhawk mount?

Are you referring to the issue where bar addons are using a deprecated UI method?

Such as mage portals, rogue poisons, pet summons? If so, you’ve just gotta wait for the add-on devs to catch up

I mean, they could have fixed the embarrassment of last year by making that Illidari hawk be an updated model like the one from Sylvanas. Wouldn’t have taken too much man power away from DF.

Imagine thinking an EXP buff during pre-patch isn’t good. It also isn’t a “reward,” you don’t have to earn it, it’s just a free buff.

To be fair, I’m rocking around 40 toons and thought an 18% buff was more than solid. I also had friends form a guild on another server, and already got another toon up for ready just off of a few hours yesterday, which is a solid way to avoid a transfer or a boost for a main.

At least, considering this is how the WoW anniversary ALWAYS is, outside of the 5/10s markers.

Like I could understand some sour if this was the first or second time WoW has done this, but that hasn’t been the case for aeons. And it isn’t much worse than what FF does for holidays tbh. You spend about 2 hours or less and you’re done for the entire event, for better or worse, and there isn’t any real meat and potatoes to the story of those events either. Not that WoW’s major holidays couldn’t be better, just that there really isn’t an MMO that DOES do much for this stuff.

But the entire purpose of these events in MMOs is typically just to be a little nod, a little gift, and maybe a smile and then back to your game. In that regard, WoW tends to be rather lengthy in terms of holiday events.

Not that many people are even rocking Violet Protos some 18 years in, so maybe they’re just unaware.

Anyway, TLDR: Your expectations are WAY off base, and anytime you hold unreasonable expectations that don’t align with reality, you’re going to be left unsatisfied

It goes to show they care about nothing but money. That gift was a joke, they really do not care about anything but money

If you played the game like most people do you wouldn’t need an xp buff cause you would already have 60’s imagine a worthless xp buff for people who never play hardly while forgetting about the people who play alot.
