You know… a couple years back I quit WoW after learning about Blizzard hiring a union busting firm against their employee’s who wanted a union, I felt so hurt by Blizzard after years of the RP community being ignored and pushed away in favor of PVE and PVP, I left to go RP on FFXIV and because of you Blizzard I met the woman I now call my Girlfriend, so while you fel on us Roleplayers as if we contribute nothing, put the lore on the backburner, retcon things and toss us only scraps because the PVE’ers and PVP’ers are your real bread and basket money… thank you for being horrible to us Roleplayers and your staff for pushing myself away so I could meet the woman I love.
I like to think getting Kikirina a girlfriend was Ion’s big plan all along
That would explain some of the plot twists, yeah.
When the helm of domination was reforged into the lamest helmet in the history of the universe, Kikirina’s girlfriend realised that the vaguely skeletal helmet of this shaman was at least somewhat cool, and so true love was born.
It’s hard for me to take the trend of bleeping your swears online seriously. It feels so Disney.
Better story than Shadowlands.
I couldn’t use what word I wanted and couldn’t think of another word so… yeah…
You should have said it.
You should have said the cuss.
Blizz censors it, pretty sure. These forums are basically the Soviet Union.
Masking can still get you reported.
OP, I recommend you edit your post and choose a different word. I love a good swear, and I promise I’m not a narc, but yeah. Them’s the rules, as silly as they may be.
Some lore appropriate swears would be “fel this!” “fel you!” and “that’s what they’re talkin’ about down in Dixie.”
Oh fel off, you piece of void! You absolute murloc!
Wait. New here and a bit confused. Aren’t we supposed to be accepting of a unified Alliance and Horde? How is cussing a player from the other side fostering a warm and welcoming unification of Azeroth?
Just trying to get my bearings and understand the nuances of WrA.
Oh, I’m about to show you what they’re talking about down in Dixie.
Just trying to get my bearings and understand the nuances of WrA.
We say swears here.
I am new to WrA and am seriously trying to make an effort to get my bearings here. I’m not really sure what being from Dixie or not has to do with that and I’m certainly not trying to offend anyone.
Listen I accept that the Alliance got over Teldrassil and Theramore but the third big T still needs to be addressed.
Taurajo.
Until then still hostile.
The only thing wrong about Camp Taurajo is that we didn’t destroy it Taurajard enough.
No worries. The crowd who post here on the forums mostly just like to joke around. You aren’t offending anybody.
Some RPers are happy with the idea of unification IC or OOC. Some aren’t. Some are fine OOC but their characters aren’t. So some players and/or characters aren’t ready to foster a warm, welcoming unification and others are. Mostly depends on what the player feels like RPing or what their guild is doing.
xD I was joking around, to be clear. But yeah. I think, as with most story related things, and especially on an RP server, people have different opinions on the continued relevance, or lack thereof, of the factions and the war.
Personally I think the war story has been done, at least for now, but I’m a fan of fantasy politics as a general rule, and I would love to see a Cold-War-esque conflict between the Alliance and Horde. I’m not convinced all of the water is under the bridge yet, and I enjoy the constant debates of international politics! Folks who think like me tend to want the factions to retain some relevance and some restrictions, even as reasonable adjustments are made towards cross faction playability, especially in the realm of PvE.
A lot of other people think the factions are irrelevant, poorly-considered, and just exhausting, I suppose. I’ll let others speak for that viewpoint in more depth, as it is not my own and I’m not convinced I’ll do it justice, but basically they’d prefer for faction restrictions to be done away with entirely - maybe even for the factions to cease to exist as a gameplay and/or political force.
I feel like there should still be pockets of resistance that pop up from time to time. Kind of like if you’re playing Total War and you get those rogue factions that split off from a main faction and you have to kill them off.
It would be interesting to run across some NPC who was angry that the faction war was over and they were trying to stir the pot with a questline. And your character has to put them down (or maybe choose not to). If you eliminate them, then some quest down the road goes one way, and if you don’t, it goes another. It could be a nice start to making our choices have consequences, though I don’t really expect Blizz will go down this road any time soon.
