Thank you for the wonderfully miserable experience as a new classic wow player

So apparently because I have not played wow before, but I did create my account in November of 2023 when I purchased Diablo II Resurrected, I am not permitted to trade to other players, buy from the auction house, and worse, not able to mail items between my own characters.

This is not acceptable by any means. I paid a fully monthly subscription and I am not receiving a full experience. So I suggest either lifting these restrictions, heck I even have an authenticator! on my account, or grant all such players an equivalent amount of game time credit.

Do you not understand how miserable it is to being reduced to basically begging people for simple stuff? I cannot trade my cloth to a tailor for a bag. I cannot provide any trade services for other players. I cannot even share among my own characters. This is not a MMO. I have more freedom in Diablo II than in this game.

No, I was not told when paying my account I would be subject to such a limitation. The article that supposedly describes the limitations is not even correct as it fails to mention you cannot even send mail among your own characters!!!

Yes, it is.

Blizzard isn’t going to lift the system that’s set in place from folks spamming CS with those topics.

While I appreciate the frustration, Sharlin, Customer Support has zero involvement in the development of the game or its systems.

If you have feedback it would be best directed to the appropriate forum category, which you seem to have already done in a post in the Classic Forums.

Since I did go over this in another thread I’m going to copy/paste it here, with some minor adjustments.

In order to help combat the Real Money Trade some restrictions were implemented that require accounts to have paid for at least one month of game time before they’ll be able to use some of the trading features.

Some of the philosophy behind this was posted about here, if interested.

The effective date for purchased game time to count for this is November of 2017.

The restrictions should lift after the 26th day from when the game time was purchased. Sorry for the inconvenience.
