I used to dislike m+ but did it anyway because my raid guild required raiders to get good gear for raiding so i did it anyway. That was before the changes.
Did a +4 last night for some gear and try to work on my rating. Did it with my guild. We could not complete +4 city of threads. Well we did but we were massively overtimed. No gear for me out of the chest.
During dragonflight me and my guild had no issues completing a +4 much less an 8. Now? I wouldnt dare even attempting an 8.
I did not enjoy that 4 in the slightest. Its stressful, anxiety inducing. I know m+ is not for me anymore.
So thank you for killing it for me and giving us delves. No timer, good gear out of it and you dont have to have a group for it. And you get guarenteed loot if you have a key.
I doubt ill ever touch another m+. Just my 2 cents. Mythic +s are terrible now.
I remember having a hard time with 4s in about 605 itmlvl, this was mainly due to my itmlvl outpacing my experience level. I would have to know your itmlvl to judge if you should be having a hard time or not.
It sounds to me like you are just learning City of Threads but I’m assuming you were possibly also massively under-geared for it as well.
I would highly suggest taking the time to learn the mechanics of the fights and mobs before trying to push too high. It’s also always possible that the tank isn’t doing things quite right either which can amplify the difficulty for everyone else.
The gear curve was pretty noticeable in early TWW, at least in my opinion, so if that’s part of the issue then I would suggest working on catching with delves, your omen crafted gear, etc…
Don’t get discouraged so quickly. Learning the dungeon is the hardest part but once you figure it out it’ll get a lot easier.
Ah, the sub rogue I assumed that was you, which is why I mentioned being undergeared.
It seems the two rogues with similar names are due to one being an artifact from before you transferred. That artifact suggests you were item level 583 when you attempted COT 4, as it’s the only one showing an un-timed run.
Since then, you’ve realm changed, race changed, and raised your item level to 603. With that improvement to 603, COT 4 should be much easier for you now.
It’s not that bad. +4s aren’t insurmountable, I do them on my 600~ alts all the time. City of Threads is a bit mechanically intense though, it has a low completion rate for a reason. Try a +4 Dawnbreaker and you will see the difference.
You probably ran into the paradox of low keys being WAY harder than higher level keys because nobody who knows what they’re doing wants +4s, they want +7s or +8s since that’s the sweet spot for Crests and Hero Track gear.
The only people doing keys outside those range are typically whats known as the “fifth affix”
I’m unsure what seasons you did in DF, but a current +4 is equal to a +14 in season 1-3. Season 4 made the swap over to the current setup, but things were noticeably easier because we could get incredible gear from the bullion.
So depending on when you did it, it would make sense that a +4 felt significantly easier than a +4 now.
Im not understanding? Are you just now realizing that maybe you and your guild are well below the average skill level? There’s nothing wrong with that mind you, im just trying to figure out your outrage.
Well, a 4 today is a 14 yesterday, as in dragon flight. I’m kind of hoping it eventually goes away. There’s nothing but complaint threads about mythic plus and even the people who stream it sit there and complain about it. The only folks who don’t seem to complain about it are the ones who are actually good at it and push 17s for fun. kinda hoping that raiding comes back and becomes the only endgame pillar again.
