As we all know, blood elves will be getting blue eyes in Shadowlands. I feel that this is finally the nail in the coffin for the seventy different high elf megathreads which are made to somehow convince you that a different eye color is worth a new race. Finally, this forum can move on. Good luck to blizzard in the future to making this community happy in Shadowlands.

Can’t get much more deconfirmed then having them added in as a horde customization option. 
Now, I want void elfs to have red eyes…

Blood Elves getting blue eyes just makes 'em Blood Elves with blue eyes. They ain’t High Elves just 'cause their eyes changed colour.
Repeat after me:
All Blood Elves were High Elves.
Not all High Elves are Blood Elves.

I kinda feel bad for those players who want Silver Covenant High Elves with how many people are taking jabs at them right now.
I mean, I get it; some of them freaking deserve it considering how down right nasty some of them behaved, but not all of them were complete tools.
We don’t need to pour all the salt into the wound.

Unfortunately, my main is on alliance. I’m just a regular old forum poster who’s tired of people spamming the forum for things that have no real reason to be in the game.

as player race maybe we will never have them in alliance but in lore high elves are still a thing, alleria didn’t bring void elves to the alliance to then herself go to the horde
in addition most people expect high elves have bluish human-like eyes not those light bulb things
They’ve been on for over a decade. I doubt it’ll end. It will probably become quieter (I hope at least). But seeing as it was announced last night, the forums are gonna be an erupting volcano for at least 2 weeks, probably longer. In time though it’ll calm down. Still gonna have random posts about it in the future sadly.

Edit 2: Remember this isn’t final though, it’s subject to change. I’ve always not wanted high elves since it’d hurt horde population but I have thought it’d be cool on Horde. Dunno how this’ll do the Alliance population though, probably something but not much at all. I see why people don’t want High Elves at all, but I’m personally happy about it.
