Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

Why play it? The same reason people always played it.

They want the gear lol.

No, it didnā€™t work fine at all - this is as blanketed of a brain dead fix as the implementation of Resilience gear.

They acknowledged that Warlocks and their dotā€™s were super imbalanced at the time and were like ā€œOh!! Well, hereā€™s a stat - hope it helps!ā€

This is terrible. We need more nerfs on specific classes in pvp like shaman and spriest. Or buffs on the other classes. It is impossible to kill anything now.

says human paladin lol

Did anyone mention the fact all melee do DOUBLE the raid dps of any casters. Literally rogues n wars doin 2k dps while at best we have casters at 900-1k dpsā€¦now melee are better than range in pvp too because range just oom self healing and never getting to cast ā€¦ good fixes bliz well played lets ruin SOD population before lvl 60 even comes

I donā€™t hate you for trying this but this ainā€™t it time to try something else

Whats the problem? You get to live to drink 4 times. Better than relying on dying and ressing with full.

You people canā€™t be serious this is the most blatant anti-fun move yet. Do any of you actually play this game? Do you think people enjoy doing 0 damage with their abilities?

Its only anti fun for the classes that was benefiting from burst meta. Pvp feels way better on my warrior and a little worse on my druid. Its about time.

I like the slow down a lot but mana regen needs to be nerfed for a few classes. I can keep a viper sting on a Shaman healer and they will never go OOM with other Shamans in the BG.

I agree that flat dmg reduction is lazy, but palis werenā€™t ā€œone shottingā€ anything before. Maybe 2-3 globals, Iā€™ll give you that, but every spec could gib someone like that before the dmg reduction aura.

Well, maybe except affliction warlocks, but theyā€™re eating good with dmg reduction rot meta.

Lol you think they care, its the weekend. Microsoft already has your money see ya tuesday next week

Take a moment to realize the entirety of SoD is lazy, its rehashed 2004 wow with some sprinkled ā€œskillsā€ which half already are in retail.

throw 2 devs at a dying game and suckle as much money outta the wallet of us unfortunate to think WoW will be good again

Blizzard please halve the damage debuff. It currently feels like I have rez sickness on my rogue when in pvp. My alpha damage is all gone, so my initial burst. This makes players no longer intimidated by my class, they make less mistakes and are less afraid. This makes certain playstyles for my class pointless. Our crit and burst was the tradeoff for us being squishy in pvp. So now i am weaker than a hunters pet. I have no sustain because have not given us any to use. Not only is the world buff too high, designing it as a global buff is just lazy and bad planning. It should be linked to pvp gear like a set bonus and tied down as something to farm. Like 5% dmg reduction per piece, capping at 25% or something. There are better way to implement pvp survival. Also not affecting heals in any way creates an even bigger divide in pvp.

Was really looking forward to PVPā€™ing this weekend, looks like touching grass is back on the table!

Make the interns come in on the weekend and revert it

Well, it looks like the health buff is still there along with the damage reduction.

This is major overkill. The damage buff alone would be too much, but keeping the health buff on top of that? Really unfortunate that it went live like this.

Implementing the change over a weekend without a crash course for reversion was the dumbest play imaginable.

I feel sorry for the release engineers.

Horde is having a ball.

Perhaps they are trying to make everyone raid or go to retailā€¦ go figure.

This feels like Iā€™ve been regressed backed to level 25.

Why not just buff everyones stamina globally so dmg out put is less of a % of enemies health but the # in our scrolling combat text remains the same, this would feel bad but atleast not feel as regressive.

Or perhaps a combination of buff stamina globally by say 10-15% and reduce damage globally by something more reasonable like 10% so the regressive feeling isnā€™t so bad.

Honestly as it sits right now, Iā€™m not sure Iā€™ll be still playing.
