Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

Well right now casters still seem to be doing just fine, meanwhile melee with the 50% nerf are struggling even worse than before hitting clothies as if they were 30 levels higher and wearing plate.

Lol no. Casters have it far worse. Unloading a full mana bar into a melee and unable to kill.

I mean at this point this has to be evidence the team is screwing with us right? Buffing spriest while it was broken, then a 50% damage nerf across the board and maybe a huge crit nerf as well. Was a nice thought at the start when it sounded like it was just VP that took the biggest hit and the “nuance” was that it wasn’t just a flat nerf. But so much for that lol.

Lol yes, full burst from shaman and druid still dropping people, warlocks still walking with dots ticking.

SO DAMAGE IS NERFED IN BG BUT HEALS ARE NOT??? I am hitting like i’m level 30 now! People can’t even die! Blizzard, you are officially PATHETIC!! You cannot do math as a billion dollar company with a 20 year old game!! Unsubbed!

Feels terrible. Healers are twice as effective now. This was not a well thought out change and epitomizes the development choices in season of disappointment.

I would not be surprised at all if some exec was in a meeting and said… “How do we get all these new SoD players to play Cata and Retail?”

Unsubbed after a single BG with these changes. As a mage when I counter spell your healing school and you can tank my dmg for 10 sec then proceed to heal in my face and laugh as I go oom. I think I might’ve been able to get melee’d down by a priest if we stood our ground.

This is trash. PvP was fast and exciting. Now its slow and boring. Its miserable. Everyone in BG chat just complains about it. Who wanted this? Bg was the only good thing outside of raid logging. I hope this is reversed. Absolute trash of an idea.

It’s not just BGs, it’s open world too.

This is the worst change I could have imagined. As a mage player, if I engage someone with 100% hp and 75% mana, I will probably go oom before I kill them. It takes me forever to drink or get mana back after a fight. I am basically useless unless I am healing now.

its not. it was announced as an experiment over the weekend though, so i guess that’s why they went so high. 10-20% would have been enough. theyre probably testing the high end of % reduction while also testing if the implementation actually works globally.

I am seriously praying they revert these changes, is this some type of late April fools?
