Test Complete: Let there be wiki posts, apparently

:scream: Thatā€™s yikes.

Yeah. Blizzard responded to the post quickly and are looking into it, butā€¦ thatā€™s somewhat distressing.

Well, yeah, you guys dont see my email and password listed? It should be right below my name, like all of yours are.

For a terrible second, I thought you werenā€™t joking.

Thatā€™s very curious.

Curious is not the word iā€™d use.

I was logged randomly into someone else's account! is the post Iā€™m referring to, for reference.

The last post by Blizzard was 7 days ago, so maybe itā€™s fixed, but. Also I didnā€™t see any mention of this anywhere else. It may also have been a severely isolated incident.

On a positive note you can now change your first name on Battlenet without them requiring any sort of verification.

Blizzard is no longer dead naming me.

I should get myself a twitter one day.

But iā€™m terrified of how weaponized social media has become.

Be strong, Zunde. Youā€™re not one to become weaponized.

Iā€™d be worried if anyone tried to use me as a weapon.

Itā€™s like why? Why?

I had something similar to that happen to me back in a previous workplace. I logged onto the company invisionboard to moderate. I was logged in as my boss. No one had access to my computer but me. It was something funny about the same IP address.

The poster may be playing from work, school, or some other public network. Fixing it may be as simple as editing a setting that increases security.

I wonder how VPNā€™s might affect that sort of thing, if thatā€™s the case.

This happened when I was at home, and Iā€™m the only one there with a blizzard account, I just clocked on the blue login button and suddenly I was connected in someone else account automatically, it did not asked for a password or any login information, it just logged me in.

I had no clue whoā€™s account I was into, also after reporting the incident no update was given to me on the issue, so basically I have no clue how and why this happened.

Ugh. This mess just keeps getting better and better. Was Bethesda leaking personal information not enough, Blizzard? Really?

ā€“> I just tested logging out and in myself to see what happened - fortunately nothing out of the ordinary -did- happen, either on the website or the app, but thatā€™s not confirmation of anything past that itā€™s potentially not a consistent issue.

I love this feature. I am become pest, the destroyer of posts.

I see what you did there.

The feature is pretty fun. It could be useful for guild lists and stuff, but said posts will need to be watched.

At least it tells you who made what edits. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s still the potential for things to go hilariously wrong, but nobody will be able to start drama anonymously.

ā€¦I canā€™t believe you an edit peopleā€™s posts. No idea how that could go wrong, eh, eh?

It will be nice for guild lists but I canā€™t think of a single other good reason that I should be able to go up and delete someone elseā€™s writing and graffiti whatever I like.
