Why do you people keep saying this? I’ve already said there’s proof but the rules of the forums prevent me from posting it. Again, this isn’t witch hunt but a discussion on if this should be allowed.

Why? Idk. Could be money. That many accounts buying tokens is certainly more profitable than buying subs 
(I’m just assuming they buy tokens. If they’re making that much gold and still buying subs then I’d have to question their sanity lol)
Eeeeh… not really. On my realm there is solid proof that some players are botting excessively but there haven’t been any bans. I haven’t gotten any ingame mail with confirmation from Blizzard since SL despite reporting a lot of really obvious bots that are still around. Even wrote several mails to hacks@blizzard.com with the details but nothing happened.
Yeah, there’s no chance they’re botting because they would have definitely been banned by now. Since they’re not botting, I think the discussions of if automated scanning should be allowed or not. The rules for posting your items were changed in the last auction house overhaul. I think this is the next thing that needs to be looked at since it’s clear that with enough gold and time, you’re free to abuse an unfair advantage.
omg not this nonsense again. worst idea ever spewed on the forums. we do not need player housing with stuff like that. why? because toys, pets, mounts, titles, achievements and so on will be added to it as well. and guess what. all the people that are whining for this to be added will log in and yay my own player house and log out. not to be seen for months if at all. then the rest of us got to do it as completionists and suffer.

I just think if you wanted a truly fair AH, the best thing is to give no one any advantage that a brand new player wouldn’t have.

I can’t run 2 accounts with TSM on an 8 year old pc.
if they are going to ban scanning then they need to ban websites like undermine journal from selling premiums memberships that notify people of deals.
If you are going to complain someone has an advantage remove all the ‘advantages’ and that includes all the auctioning addons.

people do that - make characters on servers and send people mail - although I am not sure why a list of names is so offensive.

I agree. TUJ is just as bad as being able to run an addon in game that does the shopping for you. The api should only be used by official Blizzard tools that they themselves regulate.

No it doesn’t. He is complaining because prices are astronomical. That is an OPPORTUNITY is capitalism. I encourage you to read “Basic Economics” by Thomas Sowell.
I don’t like the whole “cancel scan” culture the AH has. You have to babysit your listings if you want them to sell. I don’t have time for that so I barely try to sell anything on AH.
But, that’s also an area of the game that many people consider “end game” and likely requires the same dedication to excel at as other areas of end game.
Perhaps a throttle on cancel scanning could help, although you’ll catch a ton of legitimate players in any net that’s cast.
